Unfortunately that dealer thought we were suckers and would buy whatever "deal" they handed us. They flat out lied about prices and "cutting commissions" just for us. We almost gave in, then decided maybe this just wasn't our year. Then we found Vance's. What an amazing experience!! We spoke with Scott and Trey over email and phone calls and they were so incredibly nice! They are 3 hours from us, so we didn't want any surprises. They were detailed and informative every step of the way. We bought our boat, sight unseen and headed out to pick her up. But there were surprises....Mark and Hunter! My goodness....such incredible people! We had a small hiccup with our trailer but everything came out perfectly. Hunter made us feel as if we were family and helped us get all our necessary gear for our first ever boat. Mark!! How we wish we could have brought him home for private lessons (and a day on the lake! )! He took us out on Buckeye Lake and introduced us to our new boat, no rush, took whatever time we needed. The one thing about all 4 of the men we worked with is that no one made us feel stupid for knowing very little about boating. They answered every question without judgement. It was a simple repair for him, a chain replacement and derailleur adjustment. I was super happy it wasn't anything major, and they got to squeeze me in and I took my bike on vacation with me. End of the year sale on a beautiful FN at a great price and BSc advertised the manufacturer's rebate as an additional incentive to purchase before the 12/31 deadline. So after checking 'reviews' and thinking a gun store in OH would be run by a group of honorable folks (they advertise 'vet' owned), I bit, made the purchase, giving them all my info (that they can now sell) and they TOOK MY MONEY. What an idiot I am. They later send an email saying the order is cancelled since the item is out of stock.....Wait, what, you are a gun dealer (you literally get guns from manufactures on a daily basis) and you can take the order and my money, yet you don't want to fill the order? Not the buyer's problem that the BSc system, or worker, screwed up. I have been aggrieved. America is the home of capitalism and every business owner has the right to make, or lose, money based on their decisions. This was a FRAUDULENT SALE, as they could have honorably filled the order since the item in question remains in production. Nope. To top it off, in anticipation of the new item, I purchased accessories elsewhere that now are useless and become my problem to eat or return and for sure I will lose money and time dealing with those other merchants who actually honor purchases. I called BSc and got the runaround by the BSc "manager" and "part owner" who were probably the warehouse guys in disguise. They offered nothing to make it right in any way (but my inbox will be full of BSc emails moving forward). A real 'we don't care if you go away mad, we just want you to go away' attitude. STAY FAR AWAY. PS...BSc has issued a response on another platform of 'yeah it's our error, we screwed you, we take ZERO RESPONSIBILITY and we'll have our friends and employee post a bunch of 5-star reviews'.
