This is an aging dying location. Well stocked, with people moving around but no one around to answer any questions. I needed a muscle massager. Managed to find where they were located. First one I bought didn't last a month. A different model didn't even working coming out of the box or even after a charge. I quit with this place. Found one at Meijer and hope it lasts for a while. Tried to return a defective product without receipt. Because I paid cash and not with a credit card they would not let me return or exchange item. Poor customer service as it was definitely their product as it had their price tag as well as the same product on the shelf. The product was Reload Titleist golf balls. the box claims quality tested. Had a ball with cracked and open case to the core. Totally unplayable. Thanks Dunham's! not going to shop there any longer. read more

The store was full of lazy listless employees milking the clock instead of waiting on customers. I intended to make a $1300 purchase. But, after waiting for ten minutes one of the counter apes informed me that I wasn't going to be waited on despite the store's closing time being 40 minutes away. In the morning, I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

Anytime I've needed grips on golf clubs they put them on for free right then and there while I wait (10 mins or so) I bought my fiancé a kayak and I'm a capable guy but they insisted on taking it out and loading it up for me. Terrible service, especially at the gun and ammo counter. Now if you slip "Gator" some extra money he will set ammo aside for you and call you when the ammo truck comes in. Maybe Gator should spend more time doing his job than socializing and setting up his side hustle of taking cash to hold ammo for his paying customers. Don't expect anything to get done as the store manager appears to get a cut of Gators side deals. I now know how this store full incompetent workers stays open, it's all side deals and bypass corporate policy for buddies and extra cash. I strongly recommend staying away from this store until they clean house and get rid of the bad employees. read more

Store was clean and well organized. Dunham's had all the equipment i was looking for in store (other local chain told me barbell was available online only). Unfortunately, i had to grab a clerk for help who was walking right by me. Then when i asked where to find item, he told me everything was on the floor, then I eventually coaxed him to point to where the item was. Yeesh! I went into the store to buy a golf shirt as I was waiting in line to check out there was one person ahead of me it was a younger teenager I'd say probably 16 he was checking out and it was obvious the cashier was his friend. His Freud attempted to pay with Apple Pay. When this didn't work he whispered something to his friend. And than he said I'll be back meantime im waiting in line to check out so I ask the cashier can you still cash me out the young man (cashier ) says to me relax he needed to ask his friend something. So the kid trying to casks out who is in front of me who is obviously friends with the cashier This kid is gone for 5 minutes finally I again ask the cashier can I cash out he says relax. In the meantime one of the managers was witness to the whole situation. I will never go back to this Dunhams maybee never to Dunham's again and I was a customer the past 30 years read more

Incredibly rude twerp working the checkout. Spoke rudely to my teen and I. He was provoking and seemed to get a thrill talking down to us. Looked as though he could be an unstable person and I wasn't going to stick around and find out. This store is ghetto anyway and only utilized for convenience- I won't go back and will share this negative experience with friends/peers that shop there. I can't imagine corporate would be proud to have a rude troll representing their company. Even though places are desperate for help this kid would be better off being somewhere with limited interactions with people. Maybe corporate can help him focus on tack, kindness and the best insight we all received at some point- treat others how you want to be treated. read more

i went to buy the cheapest kayak they had with a day old coupon. The young man who helped me was super nice and went out of his way. The manager was amazing and honored my coupon when I explained why I couldn't get there the day before. They both were amazing. I saw them helping lots of other customers the same way while I was in the checkout line. It was an extremely busy day too! The young lady who checked me out was very friendly and efficient. Super happy with this store. I was probably the lowest sale in line but they didn't make me feel like it. They treated me very well. Not to mention a well stocked store. Purchased a pair of $50 work boots in January, and within 30 days, the soles cracked and they leaked water, making them useless. These boots were clearly defective, or had been sitting on the shelf so long that the rubber was no longer plyable. Returned with them to the store, and was told by the manager that there was noting they could do, and that there was no warranty on them. There is no sense of Customer satisfaction after the sale, and the personnel seemed to be indifferent about the situation. As a result, I had to buy another pair of boots from a different company. Due to this poor Customer Service, they have lost me as a customer. read more

Went to the big tent sale today and was interested in buying two kayaks. Was never greeted or asked by any staff if I needed help. Instead all the young boys (staff) stood around laughing, joking around and acting like children. Lost a sale today Dunham's. read more

My all time favorite store to shop for anything sports and this Waterford location has served me for over 16 years for anything that I've needed sports related, recently I spoke with one of the Store Managers, Shelby, she was MORE than helpful with my request and she was very accommodating with a mistake that I recently made with a purchase, so a BIG THANK YOU goes out to Shelby and this particular Dunhams for hiring such helpful and professional employees and Managers. I will continue to shop here for anything and everything that I need for golf, hockey, baseball, running shoes, and every other sport that I need equipment for. My son, who is growing and growing by the minute will come here as well for everything that he will need in the future(if of course, he chooses to participate in sports) and I will recommend everyone to come here first for anything that they need as well. I just had an incredibly horrible, sexist experience at the Waterford, MI Dunham's store. First, I had to practically shout him down to get the sales clerk's attention, and once he reluctantly waited on me, he informed me that they do not carry many women's boots because women simply do not go outdoors as often as men. When I told him that was a terribly sexist comment, he shrugged and said, "Okay." I was utterly speechless (not typical for me), and left the store without purchasing anything (not that I could, I suppose, since, you know, they don't sell women's outdoor gear.). Unbelievable. I plan to tell all my friends and acquaintances and never, ever spend any more money in that store. Although, I will add that I am a woman, and I have been purchasing excellent quality WOMEN'S outdoor gear from that store for many, many years now. I had no idea they had changed their policies since last winter. I suppose I should appreciate his informing me now, at the beginning of the winter season, so I don't waste any more time ever shopping there again.
