I walked into the store and was really kind of shocked by the standard with which the store was operating, it was a mess. The store was also fairly warm, a good 10° cooler than the outside but the outside being 98°, it was still pretty dang hot. I went to the back to look for shoes and there's nobody working in that area. There was another gentleman I'm trying on shoes on his own, I wanted to get a size from the back if they had it, that I didn't see out on the shelf. And there was nobody in sight but I could hear people talking from the fishing area. Walk around the corner and looked and there were four employees standing in there talking about girls and Friday night, etc., etc. Etc.. I stood there looking at them and they said you need help and I said no I've been here long enough and I went upfront. In total, I've been there a good 20 minutes trying to find what I needed with. No help or offer to help or nobody in sight to help. On my way out, there is a lady upfront and I mentioned to her, hey you guys guys in the back that are doing nothing but talking about partying and stuff, I'm trying to find help, there's an older guy sitting there having to take care of himself, he's not getting help. She, the manager, looked me dead and said what did you ask for help? I said one I shouldn't have to go, but there is nobody to ask except for all the people over in the fishing aisle talking about what girl they're gonna take out on Friday night and or what they did last weekend, inappropriate conversation for work. They're standing around doing nothing. She said well it is hot in here and I told them to take it easy, and I thought well then you must not need any business so I left. I won't be back. read more

Female manager at night has the worst attitude and customer service, was there to purchase ammo and was made to feel as if i was bothering them, manager made rude comments and was condescending when i asked questions about two different shot gun shells i was purchasing. Dunhams in wilson used to be my go to place for ammo but i will not be returning based off this managers attitude especially after being told i was "wasting her time" when i asked if a box was rifled slugs or sabot. read more

The absolute worst customer service I have EVER experienced...anywhere. Tried to buy a gun transferred from another store. 10 days and no word. After being hung up on 3 times by phone I went to the store to see what was going on with the order only to be walked away from by a manager and two clerks. I just left. Never again. read more

Today I visited Dunhams Sports in Wilson to purchase another weapon. There was no one at the back counter for over thirty minutes. The manager was too busy talking to people in the front. I had to call the store for them to get the manger to come back to the gun counter to serve me. Finally he comes back there and I tell him which gun I want and he states he won't sell me a gun. He said I told him "That I was told to buy a Center fire" and because I was told to purchase the gun- it must mean I am buying it for someone else. I told him that what I said was "that my brother told me I should get a Center fire." The gun is for myself. But he refused to sell me my weapon because he thought I was buying it for someone else. Lol No Sir. I have a concealed and carry permit. I have several guns. If He would have at least put his energy towards picking up my and looking at my license and permit he would've known that I had purchased weapons there before. I have purchased thousands of dollars of weapons from Dunham sports in Wilson. In fact, that manager himself sold me my Sig P365. He just didn't want to work. He didn't want to do the paperwork. I was so angry at the fact that this manager was too lazy to do the paperwork, I called him a lazy mother fucker. Bottom line, I have never been so disrespected then I was today with the manager at Dunhams in Wilson. Completely unprofessional, completely lazy and disrespectful and paranoid. I left all the other items and the ammo I picked out for the gun I wanted to purchase on the back counter and just left. I will NEVER GO BACK TO DUNHAMS IN WILSON. read more

Today around 5:41 my family was in the store we needed help in shoes. Athletic cleats. We stood and waiting around 6 minutes no one come to help us. I then went to the front of the store where a gentleman Tall, light skin with plaits and asked him for help. He told me that what is on display is all they had. Dropped into Dunham's today to pick up a few golf supplies. While the store has a decent selection of products at more than reasonable prices, their customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. It wasn't that the service was bad, it was incompetent. In the 30 minutes that I was wondering around the store I was never greeted or asked if I needed help. This was despite the fact that the store was NOT busy. There were less than a dozen customers in the store at the time. Once I found what I was looking for, a couple of bags of practice golf balls that were on sale, I took them to the counter to check out. The young person working the register didn't know how to lookup the products to ring me up since the products lacked price tags. She then called for a manager to help her out. Not once did anyone apologize for me having to wait. After that, the balls showed up at the normal, non-sale, price. Since the manager had walked away, the young person at the register was clearly confused with what to do. At this point, I apologized for bothering her and asked her to cancel the sale. Again, no apology on the part of Dunham's. It was clear, from today's experience, that the Wilson location of Dunham's is poorly trained on customer service. So, my wife gave me a new bicycle for my birthday. When I got it all put together the front tire wouldn't hold air. We spoke with the manager at Dunham sports and they told us too bad, they wouldn't take care of it. This was the nicest bike they sold. That's like buying a new car and when you go to pick it up you can't drive it. I won't be going back there again. They sold us a worthless bike. read more
