Renovations don't mean anything if you can't make donuts. Don't waste your morning, just go to the one on Eisenhower. This location is a headache from start to finish, the parking is hectic, the traffic on the main road it's on delays you for 5 min at least. Not to mention long wait times and lack of donuts on a weekly basis. If you're interested in 1-6 old fashioned donuts, this is your spot... but they rarely have enough donuts made to order a dozen with any variety. read more

So I haven't been to Dunkin Donuts in ages, and I guess they're now just called Dunkin, but just how Pluto is still a planet in my world, I'll stay with the name Dunkin Donuts. The biggest change since I last visited a Dunkin Donuts has to be the addition of the whole breakfast sandwich thing. This change is a major plus, because I never have been much of a donut fan. Moreover, although not the most appetizing looking sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit, my Dunkin Donut breakfast biscuit was pretty tasty once I munched down on it. The food and service were fine, but my biggest issue with Dunkin Donuts was twofold. First, it is August and they are already selling the Pumpkin Latte. Stop!! Pumpkin lattes should be reserved for the months of October and November, just like Christmas presents should only be opened on Christmas morning, in your pajamas with your Uncle Dick already drunk off eggnog. Second, but no less annoying, is the fact that they have placed a tip jar on the counter. I'm sorry, but unless you are mixing me a drink, waiting on my table, driving me to my cherished destination, cutting my hair, or performing any number of tasks that require extra effort and expertise, stop with the requests for counter service tips. Otherwise, I'm willing to tip 25-30% all day long But to be fair, the genesis of this counter service tip jar most likely springs from Starbucks, a corporate monster that is guilty of sucking the humanity out of life. read more

Dunkin' Donuts always has a special place in my heart. They offer hot beverages, ice beverages, frozen beverages, breakfast sandwiches, and donuts. My favorite (if made well) is their Hot Chocolate (comes in Original and in Mint) - it is nice and chocolate-y, without being overly too sweet. For breakfast, I tend to stick with the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a croissant, with a side of their crispy hash browns - yum yum! Their donuts, if fresh, are nice and dense; the Crueller or the Maple Glaze are my favorites. Bolage, the friendly and sweet employee on staff today, was awesome and super friendly. Coming in and out to this location is a little scary (with the whizzing traffic on Duke), but they have some limited parking for you to get some grub to go. Boo! I pulled up at the donut shop at 9:40 with my husband. I sat in the car while he went to the restaurant next door (and I was talking on my phone). Not sure why, but, I thought this was a 24 hour location. NOT! They close at 10pm - but locked the doors at 9:55! Yep, I sat there and watched her lock the door, just as I was exiting the car. I walked in to get coffee and possibly a donut but there were flies landing on the donuts. This place is gross. I turned around when I saw the mess, I walked out. Any manager that thinks it is ok for insects to land on the food is low level scum and should not be allowed to manage anything. read more

This place is weird, very disheveled and ominously quiet. Clearly understaffed, we came in at 3pm on a Sunday and it took 20 minutes to get an iced coffee and a bagel...like what? The barista seemed extremely all over the place, but I'd recommend going to the location near the Huntington metro! Better vibes all around. read more

OK, I definitely hesitated on writing this simply because I didn't want to admit that I did indeed go to Dunkin Donuts... However, it was such a terrible experience I wanted to warn off any other Alexandria residents. So after staying up until 2 a.m. on a Sunday night studying, only to have to go to work all day the next day, I wanted a really LARGE coffee and I didn't want to deal with the Starbucks line. I first arrive and there is a semi truck blocking about 10 parking spots making a delivery, leaving only about 6 spots open, and they were all filled. Why in the hell is there a delivery truck at 8:50 a.m. on a Monday? Shouldn't this be done at like 4 a.m.? So I double parked, thinking, in-and-out. On the way in, I see posters on every window and door for a pumpkin muffin, and thought, "yes, one of those too." Get to the cashier, "pumpkin muffin and a large coffee please." Response *stares for about a minute* "um, we don't have any pumpkin muffins." I look down at the cash register, there too is a pumpkin muffin ad. So I pointed, and they go, "yeah, but we don't carry them." FINE, but they offer two pumpkin donuts in its place. Wait for my coffee before some frantic woman comes in and goes "Somebody is blocking my car!" And I go, very calmly, "yes, that's me, I'll be out in a minute, there's no where to go because of the semi." Grab my coffee and she yells at me "I'm going to be LATE!" and I, completely deprived of sleep and a pumpkin muffin, yell back "Then maybe you shouldn't stop for donuts in the morning," stopping myself before telling her she didn't look like she needed it. I ate half of one of the donuts, blech, tossed the rest and gave the other one away. NEVER AGAIN. read more

This location actually doesn't have a baskin Robbins anymore :( but despite the looks from the outside its actually a pretty good dunkin. The entrance / exit could be a little larger but it's ok to get out when the light before the dunkin changes and you can get out. I ordered a hot latte and veggie sandwich on flat bread, obviously I got the coffee 1st and then the sandwich , both satisfied my need for early new year day . Vanilla creme donut wasn't cooked all the way through and barely had creme...staff was super nice, but you have to rate the donuts right? I went to this location at about 7:50am. They open at 5am. I wanted to order munchkins for my team but they only had blueberry and glazed. I inquired about the chocolate and was told they were sold out. Ummmm you open at 5am? How do you sell out and not have inventory to restock on your most popular flavor??? I mean, you specialize in donuts and the munchkins are very popular. That's like McDonalds running out of the fixings for the big mac. So I proceed to order a coffee with hazelnut, cream, and sugar. They forgot the hazelnut and they didn't add sugar. It was not busy so why the mess up? Won't return to this location and it is the closest. to my house. read more

Since moving to Alexandria I've made a stop here about once a week and it's always been fine for me. The parking situation can be tough, with a small lot and limited spaces, but I've never had a problem finding a space. The coffee always comes quick and just the way I want it, and the donuts are Dunkin Donuts standard fatty goodness. I am from out of town, renting a house near this location and thought it would be fun to try a Dunkin Donut because we don't have them in my hometown. It was approximately 8:00 am, only one person ahead of me. I was helped almost immediately, super!! I told the lady helping me I wanted a half dozen. I proceeded to tell what I wanted, starting with 2 Apple Fritters and then started to make my next selection. She interrupted me in mid-sentence and said, "those aren't included in the half dozen". Now I'll admit, I'm not fluent in Dunkin Donutese, but I didn't expect buy six donuts was going to be stressful. I proceeded to tell her that I understood that I would have to pay extra for the donuts I want and asked if I could buy them? She acknowledged that I could, thought for a minute I was going to get through this complicated transaction. No, I was not so lucky. I was again handicapped by my lack of Dunkin Donutese and called a Coffee Roll, a Cinnamon Roll and a Sour Cream Cake, a Glazed Old Fashion. I was met with a rude correction and a blank stare after each request. I should have just held up two fingers and pointed, it would have been faster. I had planned to get some coffee drinks to go with the donuts, because I'd heard Dunkin Donuts has great coffee. The chicken biscuit sandwich does not look at all like the picture and isn't great. The service was ok, I was helped by someone who was learning for the first time so I can't hold that against him. The doughnuts were pretty solid. Didn't order coffee so can't speak for that. read more

Most locations in this area serve stale doughnuts and terrible iced coffees, but, I love this particular location and frequent it quite often. I take metro/walk here so the small/tricky parking lot is not an issue for me. I tend to go either during early morning, or noon, and I never have a problem with slow service or long lines. The people who work here are so sweet! I always get iced coffees, doughnuts and the occasional bagel. I haven't had a complaint yet. read more

Mi padre and I loaded up with caffeine and sugar at this DD/ BR location before a drive to Kent Narrows on 6/8/2013. The wait time was brief at 11am with one person in front of me. This Dunkin Donuts unfortunately is the closest one to my work so I have stopped here a lot more recently and every time I stopped here it precedes to get worse and worse. My first visit there I ordered an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese, when I got to work and started to eat my bagel thank goodness I took it apart because there was a big black hair in the cream cheese. So I returned it to the Dunkin Donuts got my money back no problems. That was about a week and a half ago, I put in a complaint 2 Dunkin Donuts corporate about the hair in my bagel and I received an email response probably a generic one but an email response none-the-less asking me to please try the location again and they were sorry that I had hair in my food. So I went again today at around noon and proceeded to get another everything bagel toasted with cream cheese, I asked for cream cheese on both sides of the bagel because Dunkin Donuts are notorious for either not putting on enough cream cheese or not spreading out the cream cheese enough so as a rule ask them to put it on both sides so I get enough cream cheese on all parts of my bagel. When I got to work I opened it again and they're literally is like no cream cheese on the bagel whatsoever. I took a picture of it I'm posting it on here I wasted more of my time returning the stupid Bagel to them I am so fed up with this location I will never ever go back to this location. This place just sucks!! Dunkin Donuts really needs to get it together with these people that they are allowing to franchise Dunkin Donuts especially in the northern Virginia area because they are totally bringing down the level of quality from Dunkin Donuts and making everyone pissed off at Dunkin Donuts as a brand rather than individual locations. read more

Service was not good and the cashier didn't understand that we didn't want coffee and we couldn't get it substituted for another drink (except tea). So we got bottled drinks then when we looked at the receipt we were charged $1.89 for the coffee and tea we didn't even want. We got a total of 5 hash browns each in our bags (no joke) and I got the big and toasted and it was so soaked in butter I couldn't keep the sandwich together, it was no good at all. Sunday, early afternoon, visit. Three loud urban teenagers waiting for their order took the attention of the entire staff behind the counter. Young man in line in front of me lost patience and walked out. Employee's young daughter (grade school) stood next to the young woman putting my donuts in the box, literally peering over her arm into the box, until an older woman (manager? owner?) physically pulled her away. I just came back from this location hoping to use my free donut coupon I received for giving blood. Upon receiving the coupon I had a newfound admiration for the company-encouraging folks to save lives. I chose to go to this particular location because it was open til ten, later than the other locations around. But as I roll up at 9:40, I see that all the donut trays are empty. "do you not have any donuts?" I asked the woman. She hesitated, then said "no." I'm appalled. The product that is included in the name of the store is not available 20 minutes before closing?? I asked again, hoping that there was a stash in boxes somewhere in the back. Nope. I verified the time that they close and she confirmed that it was 10pm. She said sorry half heartedly and I walked away in a huff. Won't return to this one-or any location at night. Poor business is what that is. read more

Clean polite service, decent amount of table space. Now has wifi but lacking in outlets for laptops. Worth a visit.
