4/27/17 So far I have a good feeling about this place. My cat is not eating and hardly drinking water. Dunkin wants my rent money(lol) to pay for her bills to get her back to normal I'm going to try their credit card payments and hopefully she gets better after the treatment 5/3/17 my cat is showing more signs of jaundice but i am very happy with dunkin vet because they do not charge me for extra visits, only what i take home (not more than $60) they show that they really care for my cat, they have one themselves (i think) and they even thank me and my husband for helping them get our cat to cooperate. i recommend this place for basic needs like diagnosing and shots read more

Took my dog to this place and their charges were ridiculous!!! Very rude, not friendly at all. My dog has to be on meds for the rest of her life and they would do one prescription at a time, after the first prescription I had to request refills which they charged me $60 just to get a written prescription!!! And yes, the first time I took her they charged me $475 + $250 for medications!!!! Greedy, money hungry people!! Never went back!!! read more

Found this vet through all the good reviews they had. I had adopted a golden retriever so decided to take him here because of how close it was to home. In the beginning I thought the prices were fair until I started to do more research on other vets. To find out I was overpaying SO MUCH. Every visit was more than $500 for just regular check ups & treatment for the ears. I decided to leave this vet because the veterinarian would not approve my flee & tics medication for my dog for no reason!!! I was fed up. I found a vet closer to the city & paid half of what I ever paid there for a vet visit, flee & tics (6 months worth), and for ear infection medicine. I would never recommend this veterinarian to anyone. Do not go there you will get ripped off! read more

I came here because of the high ratings, thinking this would be a doctor that really cared for animals. On my last puppy care appointment I asked various questions in which I was ignored and the vet left the office. Thought I give it a second try came back for the flu shots and to have my questions answered . Before going I called to see how much the shot would be, they say $45 for the first set and another $45 for the second. When I went to pay, they charged me $101 and the explanation was , the vet checked her so is extra. Why would I want her to be checked when she was there about a month ago?. Not coming back, he is there for the money and no longer cares for the pets. Their prices are too high. I've done my research after this bad experience and there are much better places with upfront prices. read more

I can't thank this clinic enough! My cat was having a medical emergency and they were able to accommodate him the same day despite being very busy with other appointments. They found the cause of his issue and were very thorough with his treatment and scheduling follow ups. They also took the time to show me how to manage his condition at home. I came here because the reviews said it was affordable. Well to find out that was a load of Bull, paid $170 more than I would've at my old clinic, but sadly that one is closed down. They charged $45 for a full check up but just listened to my puppy's heart.. My dog is a house dog so he's very clean and groomed always, he's the king of this house. We noticed a flee on him coming back from the vet obviously he got them from that place. This place wasn't dirty but each dog would lay on the same towel to be examined(which I assume is how my dog got a flee). This also happened during the whole corona pandemic, shouldn't they have been more careful? read more

I couldn't be happier with the care we receive at Dunkin Veterinary. I have been going to Dr Neel for several years. When I first went to him I had an 8yr old bulldog who at the time seemed to be fading fast due to several ailments, through the care of Dr. Neel she went on the regain he strength and live a comfortable life until she finally passed away at almost 13 years of age which is positively elderly in that breed. I currently have two rescue dogs one of whom was developing a bad gate (walk) due to the effects of hip dysplasia since (she is a very large dog and the two breeds shes comprised of frequently suffer from that malady) Her left side had become very weak and she had started to turn her right leg almost sideways in the middle of her body to support herself. This is very bad because, not only is she not using her left leg but, she is also over compensating on the right which will cause that side leg/hip joint to fail all the sooner. She had great difficulty standing up and consequently when she found a spot on the floor she liked, she tended to stay there until she absolutely had to go out. She weighs over 120lbs so carrying her around if she should have failure in both legs just isn't in the cards for us. I brought her in to see Dr Neel and was prepared for the worst, but he was upbeat and optimistic that if we underwent a specific course of treatment we could get her (functionally) healthy again. Well its been about 3 months and lo and behold not only is she using both legs normally, the other day I went outside to see her frolicking in the snow like a puppy bouncing around and chasing our other dog around the yard. I actually felt bad I had to stop her because Dr, Neel warned "she will feel great, like she can do anything again, but you can't let her run wild because she can re-injure the hip". I honestly didn't believe it would be that effective at the time he said it, but he was right on as usual, So I went out and told her to calm down, I know I was,in her mind at least, the mean dad who was spoiling all her fun. I will continue to trust and turn to Dr Neel and Dunkin Veterinary Hospital for all my dogs medical needs read more

This place is so sweet! Today is my cat's birthday. "Mickey." Thanks to this office my cat is alive. I am remembering the day I brought him so sick. He did not want to eat, he was throwing up everything and had diarrhea, my children were very scared of losing their cat but this office made a world of difference. Barely even "examined" our dog. Looked at him said he is old and that he is sick and wanted to put him down. Didn't even do tests or tell us what he thinks he could have. Decided to leave and got charged for basically walking in this horrible place. Would not take any loving pet here. Seems like they just want money money. They wanted to give me dog unnecessary injections that I knew weren't needed what's soever. Please don't take your pets here if you care about them. read more

Shady looking building. Staff seems friendly but they do try to upsell to you. Thats a major pet peeve for me. I thought this might be cheaper compared to some other more modern vet clinics but it is not... Vet could use some english classes. Also vet prescribed heart worm pills before testing my dog. I didn't find out until later that this can kill my dog. Edit: I am a real person- 20 reviews vs 2 reviews. Whose more likely to be fake? I want to be more specific. I brought my dog here telling them I already had most vaccines for my dog and told them specifically which ones it had. The young man assistant then proceeded to tell me on no more than three occasions on the same visit, despite me declining his first and second offer, to sign up for their puppy package which was around $200 up front for vaccines and wellness exams including some most dogs dont really need such as bordatella and lepto. Also the heart worm pills my dog took were pushed on me without testing for heartworms at all and in the dead of winter. Flea prevention was also attempted to be sold to me- again in the dead of winter. If you don't believe me go and find out for yourself. read more

The doctor really helped me a lot and I am very thankful to him. The staff was really nice and helped get my appointments in right on time and when I wanted. Dr. Neel is the best! I've been there multiple times now and he is truly a knowledgeable and caring vet. You can tell by the way he talks and how he explains things that his # 1 priority is making sure your pet is healthy/cared for and that you as an owner have everything you need to take care of your pet. I went to Dunkin veterinary hospital - for two of my cats that were sick. The Doctor took such good care of them. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is absolutely helpful and really nice to work with. I love this place and I will continue to go there. I have been with Dunkin Vet Hospital since I moved to the area in 1998. I have taken all my animals (cats and dogs) to them and always walk out feeling totally confident and assured that I have just given the best possible medical care and attention to my furbabies. I've seen some of the reviews on Dr. Neel and his staff and am truly shocked as I've had a long standing relationship with these professionals and some of the reviews described and statements I've never seen displayed at any time to me or other patients. I know personally that Dr. Neel and his staff have donated financially and medically to help people in need to take care of their animals. Reviews are misleading for this clinic. Their prices are less than affordable. The only reason I came in was because my wonderful old vet retired and I had to find a new vet service nearby. My dog had UTI and all she needed was antibiotics. However, after a very short checkup (temperature, heart beat, teeth) and a few questions asked, the doctor walked away, said he was to give my dog 3 shots (antibiotics, a pain killer and vitamins). I said my dog had not shown any signs of pain (I know when she is in pain) and that that injection might be not necessary. I just hate to put chemicals in my dogs system. Nevertheless, the doctor said it was necessary. I was upset after finding out this pain medicine was lethargic and my dog spend the rest of the day highly drugged up! The doctor does not explain anything! He checks up and acts. Once he walked away, the nurse came and gave me a list of "3 recovery plans" for my dog. The top plan was over $900! They wanted to fix my dog in one visit and sell me a ton of medications! My final bill came up to $365! They included medications that I considered unnecessary. But who was I to contradict the doctor's knowledge! Right? With me, I had brought a urine sample which got sent out for analysis. The next day I got an email with results showing Low PH. I immediately called the clinic to inquire whether the antibiotics given the day before were appropriate based on the test results. The lady who answered the phone said she was going to check the email and call me back in a few minutes. It's been over 10 days now and they never bothered to call me back! I googled all the information, and thank God, the antibiotics were good for the kind of infection my dog had. The only positive thing I can say is that both the lady and the nurse were very polite at the time of my visit. Unfortunately for them, I fall in the category of "one-time customer" and having 3 dogs myself, I would look for services somewhere else. read more

I visited Dunkin Veterinary Hospital for the first time yesterday for my dogs annual vaccines and wellness exam and my overall experience was great! I'm very picky when it comes to choosing a vet for my dog because I used to work at a Vet's office growing up and he was an amazing vet. This made it really hard for me trying to find a vet who measured up to my expectation and also wasn't scared or intimidated by my dog. My dog is a 130lb mastiff and we adopted him about 1 year ago. I was originally taking him to Animal Hospital on Route 66 but that vet seemed scared of my dog because of his size. Dr. Neel immediately made me feel at ease because he was not scared of my dog and he felt comfortable around my Thor which made Thor feel comfortable too! Dr. Neel seems to have a ton of experience working with all types of breeds and shows that he genuinely cares about your pets wellbeing. The staff is very nice and polite and explain what services your are receiving. Overall this was a great first experience and I'm confident that my search for a vet has ended with Dr. Neel. read more

I just discovered Dr. Neel's office and after so long i can finally say i have reached a vet who is well worth going to. He has helped my dog Bella dearly. I saw all their great reviews and decided to go here and have had the best experiece. Their ways of working are good, they are very welcoming and knowledgeable. They help you along the process, explain everything to you and care for you and your pet. I had a great problem with Bella which was that she kept having multiple problems like vomitting but the doctor was able to recognize a problem no one else did. He asked me if my dog had ever eaten baby food and Bella had 10 years ago and i was truly amazed how he could recognize this as it happened years ago but he recognized this problem because of his experience, no one else was able to recognize a problem and had given up. My Bella is all better now and i have been going back for vaccines and everything and for me they are truly well worth it! I will keep going back and have referred several people because Dr. Neel deserves it!! read more

First of all all I need to say is that where ever my babies are treated with love, I LOVE! I used to go to Mont Claire animal hospital and that is the worst vet that i have been to. First of all as soon as the rude, no mannered vet saw that I had a pit bull she asked us to put a muzzle on him, and this was without even going into the room yet, She was so scared to touch my dog when she was examining him that she asked the vet technician to do it for her. She was so rude, and not only that her stupid clinic was sooo freaking expensive. Any who enough on that note. The main reason i love this place is because they spoil my dogs! KILO wags his tail every time that he walks in there, and when he sees Margarito the vet tech ooh my he just goes nuts, reason being that they treat him so well, they pet him, make kind gestures towards him and always reward him with a "Your such a good boy KILO" when he lets them take his temperature. The doctor is also amazing, he explains everything deeply and actually gives you options! amazing right! since these vets out there only want to rip you off! The doctor is also not afraid to pet, kindly play with my PIT BULL, on like the other vet from Mont Claire! He mentions that he wants to make sure you understand that he is trying to help your pet as well as your wallet. The medication is oh soo cheap as well, and PLUS (my favorite part) Sangeeta (sorry if I misspelled it) actually gives you plan A, B or C for the care that your pet needs. I HAVE ONLY GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE, I LOVE THE DOCTOR , THE STAFF, THE PRICES!! The staff, Margarito & Sangeeta remember us and always say hi to KILO before he comes in to the room. The other vet did not even remember who the hell we were! I have another pit bull puppy and i am for sure bringing him here. No more expensive, rude staff that wont even touch my dog for us!
