The experience was amazing! Kevin was incredibly helpful and kind. This was my first time needing a smog check, and he thoughtfully explained the difference between "Smog Certificate Required" and "Smog Certification Required at a STAR station," which I had no idea about. This shop is not a STAR station, so be sure to check your paperwork before coming in. This shop also requires a reservation for a smog check so call ahead of time! Kevin completed my smog check in under 30 minutes, and while I'm not sure what the average price is, his kindness, efficiency, and professionalism were absolutely worth it! I'd say I would come again but I'm hoping now to need to anytime soon (though I will be back next time it's required!) read more

My car broke down on our trip to California. We had reservations to spend the night in Yreka. I randomly selected Dunn Automotive to have my car towed too. I went to the shop when it opened the next morning and talked with Kevin. He was very attentive and didn't hesitate researching and diagnosing the issue even though he already had work scheduled for the day. After an hour he had determined that it was a transmission issue. My check engine light suddenly came on, so I slowly made my way to Dunn -- Kevin was outstanding. We swung in without an appointment, and he was super nice -- he told us he had an appointment showing up any moment, so he had to be available for them, which I definitely respected since I would hope for the same treatment if I had a scheduled appointment. As soon as he had a spare moment, he came out and pulled the codes from our car's computer and informed us of what they meant. We were headed on to southern cali and had to get there by that night, and he told us not to worry, it wasn't a vital problem (was an oxygen sensor heater), and we should be fine for the trip. He was so super nice to talk with, and super helpful. He did not try to gouge us for any unneeded or time consuming or expensive fix or anything. He totally earned my trust! Thank you! read more

These 2 men must have something against kind honest senior widowed women. They took 6 weeks to make simple easy repairs on my truck. They told me they took appts 1st so I was being worked in. I waited 3 wks for my apt and had it in there on that day in the morning. Well they had to charge my battery slow so they got behind they said. 500.00 finally I got my truck back. I soon was stopped after I conducted business at the Credit Union. It was the Sheriff's Dept my truck had a serious gas leak. They called thye Police and they called the fire Dept. 1 spark and my truck would become a bomb! Dunn put me in deadly danger as well as many others. AAA was called and towed my truck to larry's where he showed me what was not done, why it leaked and fixt it good as new in 1 day for only 100.00. The mirror Dunn took off n wouldn't put back on for me Larry's Auto did just fine. Steve at Dunn said they couldn't pick out the style I wanted and it was broken. They insisted the newer tires had to be replaced, and put it in writing BUT Larry's shoed me how great the tires are. read more
