Diane cut and filled my acrylic nails yesterday. I didn't have an appointment, but she asked me to come back in an hour, which I did. Everyone was very friendly in the shop, and Diane did a great job. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because of the price. I was a bit skeptical at first to have booked a full Brazilian wax at this place because there weren't any reviews about the waxes. However, I'm so glad I chose this place. Dupin Nail Bar was phenomenal! At around 9:30AM I requested an appointment via Yelp and I received a response from the owner at 9:45AM with an appointment time for noon the same day. When I arrived I was greeted by 3 kind women who were eager to help me with my nail needs. My husband and I are here for our honeymoon and I had a few chipped nails, so I wanted to get a new gel manicure. The nail technician was very precise and careful with my nails and they are perfect! Visited this place when I was on my trip in Paris. It's a small place, but I made an appointment (which was easy through yelp, they respond after a few minutes)! I just needed a pedicure. I got a gel pedicure and felt very relaxed, the technician took her time and did well. Only thing I didn't care for was that I have weird nails on my big toes, they become ingrown sometimes and I kicked my foot the other day which caused my nail to grow in. The technician did well trimming it, but I was self conscious that she was talking about it to the other technicians and I could not understand what they were saying. Found this nail salon on yelp after backpacking through Spain for three weeks and in desperate need of a fill and pedicure. The staff were all so helpful and kind, and as an American it was a refreshing taste of home :) I had a fill for my nails with gel polish and a pedicure with regular polish that came to 90 Euros total, a little steep but not outrageous given what a fantastic job they did. I went here to remove my fake nails. I was pleased that they knew how to do this. The girls are very meticulous. They don't speak much english but enough to get my needs met. The salon is clean and I was able to get an immediate appointment by going online. The price was about the same that I would pay in the US, minus the tip. In France no tip is expected. I decided to get a regular manicure after. They are very detail oriented. They served me tea. My nails look beautiful. I highly recommend this salon and would return again. read more

I found this spot on Yelp and since it was close to my hotel I decided to give it a try. The owner was able to fit me in without and appointment and instructed me on where to find the nearest ATM. (They're cash only.) While there was a language barrier because I don't speak any french, we had a fun time trying to converse and discuss my trip. Be careful as the sign is in the window, I originally went to the wrong salon two doors down. They speak English well and French so it's easy to communicate. I went here based on Yelp reviews and was severely disappointed. On my last night in Paris, I was searching for a place to get my nails done. I had acrylics applied 4 weeks prior and needed them shortened and refilled (no lifting or chipping in 4 weeks!! Done by Nana at Salon Glitter in Honolulu Hawaii THE BEST!!) I showed up at 11am when they were supposed to be open and no one was there. I returned 20 minutes later and someone finally answered the door. She explained she didn't have an opening until 2pm. I told her I had a train to catch that night and would it be possible to be done no later than 4:30? She said it would only take her one hour so I booked the 2pm slot. When I returned at 2pm, she was working on another girl. She told me the girl wanted a manicure too so I would have to wait 30 minutes. No problem. She didn't finish for almost another hour. She finally started on my nails and was so impressed by my prior work she stopped to take a photo (should have known then this was a bad idea) she worked slowly and kept stopping to answer the phone, put another coat of polish on the customer before me, trying to find supplies etc. I was starting to get nervous that I wasn't going to make my train, so I reminded her how soon I had to leave. When she finally started to fill my nails in, it was lumpy and completely messy. I tried to tell myself give her a chance to fix it. By then it was already 4:30 and I insisted I had to go. I didn't have time for nail polish, just finish now please. She kept insisting 5 more minutes! Then she accidentally cut me while smoothing my nails. This was the last straw. I insisted she stop and I must leave. This was at 4:50. She did feel bad and only charged me 25 euro instead of 39, then gave me a bottle of clear base coat and said "put it on while on the metro" are you kidding?! I literally ran to make my train and barely got there in time. I hate looking at my nails now. There are huge divets and some of the nails are shorter than the ones on the opposite hand. I suppose if you are getting the most simple manicure she is fine, but do NOT go here for anything else, especially if you are on a schedule! read more

WOW!!! Awesome experience! there are not many quality places in Paris for a detail oriented,customer service mani pedi, but thats what I got here!! Sundays an "appointment only day" for Dupin Nail, so I was surprised that when I called them at 1pm on a Sunday, they were happy to take me at 2:30. Awesome! Not to mention, NOWHERE is open on Sunday... So super plus plus plus to them for being able to take me. The mani and pedi were AWESOME. She took her time, paid attention to detail, and she even tried her hardest to speak English the whole time...... Even though I offered to speak French! Definitely worth every penny!
