I met with the clinic director, who asked if I had followed all their pre- and post-treatment care instructions, which I had. I then had an appointment with the clinic's own doctor who, after examining me, determined that the burn was likely due to the aesthetician using laser settings that were too high. I asked for a refund three times, and ten months after I first asked, was finally told that they "don't offer refunds beyond 10 days of the purchase date", and they would not issue me a refund despite the "fault on our part". Well, I found I was treated very badly, and was not respected with what I had carefully asked for…read morebeforehand when I first spoke to the receptionist about my health need; the physiotherapist I was to see was the senior physiotherapist, and I was told and reassured over and over by the receptionist that she understood fibromyalgia, my main health condition but in her treatment of me, she obviously does not. Also, her treatment of the sports' injury I had was very very badly handled and caused me to have re-injured it. First, I was kept waiting a very long time before she came out to treat me while I had to stay on a very stiff, uncomfortable bed which pillows did not help. It rehurt the injury I was coming for treatment for! It has retorn the muscles and nerves waiting like that!! It is two days later, and I am still in terrible pain from that! To state: as I said earlier I have fibromyalgia, but I was coming to the clinic because I have torn and pulled muscles in hip and leg, and also sciatica nerve damage in the same leg from a sports injury. The fibromyalgia makes my body more sensitive to pain and healing. It needs to be treated gently and carefully. When I actually finally, after a long wait, got to go into the physiotherapist office, I was further injured: first she pressed her thumb deeply into most of where the nerve damage originated! I had healed enough that there was no more pain there-until she stuck her thumb in!!!! Now this has been hurting severely ever since-two days later! Next she lifted my injured leg up, stretching it out, and as a result I have terrible pain in that thigh again, which had gone away before I saw her with my own rest and cold packs! Now I'm having a terrible flareup throughout my hip and leg thanks to 1) the mismanagement of the clinic waiting time (my daughter also noticed that we had to sit a long time, even after we had filled out the required form) and 2)the mistreatment by the physiotherapist herself of my body. Now I believe in positive criticism, and to learn something when someone does something wrong, for myself and others, so I hope this reaches the right ears and eyes, and that someone becomes better aware on how to treat someone properly who has fibromyalgia and severe injuries. Our bodies do not work like regular bodies. The facia is tight around our muscles and bones. We have pain on the surface of our skin from the slightest touch. I'm a pretty active lady and found as time went on that it was now affecting my knees and hips.
