If your buyers are not serious in a competitive market where there were several other offers that got rejected, don't go around wasting people's time. Thankfully my other bidders will have a second chance but I'll never work with this firm's realtors or take any of their offers seriously. If you get an offer from these realtors, now you know what can happen to you. It feels like their buyers are just window shopping and making offers without the real intent or commitment to buy.

It was early 2017. We had been in our downtown home, about 1600 square feet, three bedrooms, two…read morebathrooms, gated front entry, bonus room, large backyard (near Paradise/Las Vegas Blvd) for over twelve years and it was falling apart; there seemed to be so many things to address (we tried to make our home nice, and we did, but the To-Fix list was getting longer). (When we were moving we discovered black mold near the laundry closet, located in the kitchen; we disclosed this to them too.) We wanted out. It was a large property. There was a front yard and backyard to maintain, but we didn't have the time or resources. Also, the foot traffic around the neighborhood was becoming more transient. We had several options. We'd been getting letters in the mail over the years from Webuyuglyhouses.com. We contacted three companies. We called. The lady, over the phone, gave me a rough estimate about our home (I was happy with that figure). We set up an appointment with the owner of The Investor Hub. We were happy to meet with Stephen. He was on time, he was nice, he looked around (noticed our son's toys), and he was impressed with the potential of the home. He gave us a number. We told him that were also checking around with his competition. He understood and gave us his card. We let him know that we would be in touch. We contacted the other company but they were merely the middle man, in other words, they were a broker (webuyuglyhouses.com, aka. HomeVestors). I'm not sure what happened with the other one, but that was a bust too. A few days later, we were thrilled to be accepting the offer. I was able to sign using Verisign, via email, and the title company they used was Fidelity. Everything was handled professionally, and the bulk of it was through email. Of course, the journey had some bumps along the way (that is real estate, for ya). But I am glad that we went through with it and used this company. It was honestly one of the best things we ever did. They did what they said they would do, which, in this town, is a rarity.
