This is my sister's favorite store for her cigarette. Two cartons of cigarettes cost $55 there and it costs $140 @ Costco. It's definitely a big bargain right there. Though, I don't really want her to smoke! There are good selections of snacks and chocolates. I bought a bag of habanero crackers and a big piece of chocolate for $4 with my AAA discounts. I am really not a big drinker either. Therefore, I didn't buy any alcohol. But, there are a lot of cheap alcohol products. read more

This is my favorite duty free store north or south of the border in the Blaine, WA/Surrey, BC area. The liquor prices are cheap (easily half what you'd pay at a liquor store in BC, probably less on stuff like Grey Goose) and there are often some great clearance items on the table where you enter. There's also free coffee there. Not gourmet stuff but it's free! The bathrooms are on the side of the building with their own entrance but they are pretty clean. They even carry Shiseido stuff AND with a AAA membership you get a discount of 10 or 15% (I can't remember which) on anything but liquor and cigarettes, which makes this the only place I can get Shiseido (and other department store brand cosmetics) at a discount because the stuff never goes on sale. Oh and if you come here often it's worth getting a "bottle club card" which is like a coffee stamp card. After you buy 5 - 40oz bottles, you get $10 off your next purchase. I've never seen a duty free do that. Oh and the employees are super cheerful and friendly. I've never left the store without buying something. If you take the truck crossing (NOT Peace Arch) northbound, this is the first duty free store on the right hand side. read more

Stopped there earlier today and that blonde cashier with the Russian accent was very rude. Some tourist who rode in on the bus had walked over to purchase water and some other stuff but the other staff that was there told them she cannot sell it to them unless the bus is parked in the lot. Now mind you i drove my own car so I'm looking to grab some stuff and go home, I got to the cashier and the blonde snatches the liquor from my hand and says she (the other staff) already told you that you cannot purchase anything. I said to her i am not with those people my car is parked outside. She ask for my ID and I hand it to her then I said to her i didn't appreciate the way you grabbed that bottle from my hands. Cheap boozes and smokes? Why wouldn't you give it 5 stars? (I don't smoke, but hey, pick it up for someone and maybe you'll pocket some change for your troubles.) Like I said, why wouldn't you give this place 5 stars? I mean would you rather pay twice as much for the same product. Would you say, "Well, I'm tired, I rather go home and pick up a bottle of Goose tomorrow for $56 bucks than picking it up here at the Duty Free for $32. I have only seen one other place for even cheaper than that, however it's quite a drive and not worth the effort unless you're going to Mt. Baker!! Given that you have been out of the country for as least 48 and you're only allowed to bring back a little over a liter per person. Too bad the amount does not increase the longer you been out. :( PS, I think you can pay with CAD and US 1-1. So using your CC won't be charged with a exchange rate. read more

Pretty damned good selection of all the duty-free booze/cigarette you're allowed to carry back into Canada. I don't know anything about makeup/perfume, but if you're a smoker/drinker or know someone that is -- for the love of all things holy, stop by here and get them something (if you've been away for over 48 hours, you're allowed 1L of spirits and 1 carton of cigarettes). They will love you forever. Even if you don't approve of their disgusting habit, let's do some comparisons: Carton of 200 cigarettes: ~$90 CAD in Vancouver vs. ~$25 USD at duty-free (they recently added Camel Crushes!) Premium vodka (i.e. Grey Goose/Belvedere): ~$50 CAD for 750mL in Vancouver vs. ~$32 USD for 1L This spot is my usual go-to stop when I'm driving back across the border because it's 24 hours (unlike the Peach Arch DFs). It's also directly in front of another duty-free, Pac-Can Duty Free (http://www.yelp.com/biz/pac-can-duty-free---pacific-highway-blaine#hrid:MOks4V5Ci_abRbqwfxncNQ), so you can walk down and price shop if you must. A carton of Davidoff Magnums was $33/carton at DFA, compared to $42/carton at PCDF. So it sometimes does pay to shop around, but either way you're laughing with the savings on booze and tobacco. Unfortunately, on my last stop-in here, they ran out of Belvedere/Grey Goose, but was able to pick up at PCDF. A definite must-hit if you're returning to Canada or are a smoker/drinker when travelling to Canada. It's not as good as the West Coast Duty Free on the Canadian side of the border in terms of selection for cosmetics and perfumes, and not as big as it, but it's pretty inexpensive for alcohol. And they give you a stamp card that if you buy 5 you get 1 free. read more

Skip this duty free and go to the next one. I went to DFA today and they gave me an even more terrible rate on my Canadian Money. I also noticed that they now force you to go through their cosmetics and perfumes before getting to the liquor. Pac Can, a few steps farther along the road, not only has a more competitive rate for exchange on Canadian money but also better selection of products. One of my latest favourite flavored vodkas is Vanilla Vodka. Yum! read more

Unless you really have to buy something. Pass it up. They have a new route that at first goes E/B then right turn (S/B) then left turn back N/B. And did I mention to not make a mistake on your order. Otherwise you have to go "Inside" and do a return and re-purchase the correct item. Then have to go back thru "Drive-thur" to get your items even tho you are inside and the sales clerk is 1 foot away. Waste of time. read more

Personally I don't drink or smoke but came in here during the Canada Day long weekend for cheap booze (him) and cigarettes (him again or for someone else that he was buying for). It was bad enough that it was really hot outside, however, inside was twice as hot 'cause their air conditioning broke down. Line up was really really long and standing in an extra hot line just to save money seemed hardly worth it. It's good by bi-passing the line up, however, the line up wasn't even that busy to begin with. Even if I was interested in alcohol and cigarettes, there isn't enough selection. The prices are really good for what it is. Kudos for the staff who were grinning and baring it and surviving the heat. The lady that was out our til was being a good sport about it and we did the best we could to make her smile. Bonus points 'cause the guy I am dating bought me two mini jars of Nutella.....my favorite spread in the world. read more

this is the best Duty free at this crossing....you can get smokes for as cheap as 12$ and patron tequila for 40$ vs the bclc for 89$ or at the grocery stores in washington for 69$. I would suggest you come here before going to pac can duty free . read more
