We stumbled upon this store bc the chevron down the street didn't have newer chips for me! Welllll I walked out with a ton of things I 'need' and couldn't be any happier! Got my nephew a few socks, a tasty drink, and some Christmas things I needed for hosting - huge fan! The owners go allll out and team up with local business! They got bread and tasty treats that sell out quick! I LOVEEE the walk in drinks and adult beverages that will dazzle you with choices a beyond ten or twenty - OH MY! Hands down the most fun and creative gas station I've ever been to! Hill's Chevron isn't just a place to fill up your tank--it's a whole experience. The store is packed with unique gift items, souvenirs, and snacks galore--perfect for both locals and tourists passing through. Make sure to wander into the Beer Cave (you'll be greeted by a moose overhead--hard to miss and very memorable). The selection is great and the presentation is just plain fun. They also stock Anna's Bread, which is a must--seriously, don't leave without a loaf (you'll thank me later). And yes, there's a Bigfoot out front just waiting for a photo op. From yummy ice cream bars to quirky treasures, Hill's Chevron is way more than your average stop. Worth the detour every time! read more

This is a fantastic mini mart. They have a beer cave lots of choices of wine local bread and souvenirs. Being a local I hadn't gone in until today. I've been missing out! Lots of fun stuff to look at and as good a price on beer that you would find anywhere even Rite aid. The beach Kat brewery four pack is a dollar less than I've been paying for it at the brewery! This gas station is more expensive than any other gas station in the area. There is a Mobile just 3 mins drive away and is way cheaper. My mistake for not looking up. Came here to fill up gas at $3.69 per gallon. While Mobile was $2.89 per gallon. Well, I was heading south to fill up more gas afterward because I knew I probably wouldn't make it to the next gas station and was really forced to fill up here. Or more like I was desperate. The person inside is friendly. This gas station was pretty empty. read more

This is usually my first stop after crossing the Peach Arch border, either low on fumes for my car, or a quick 'pitstop' for a washroom break before getting on with my trip into the States this has always been a staple stop. Always finding BC license plates packing this place to fill up gas, and also do the same, whether it's buying snacks, smokes, or using the water it's all the same with everyone. Another thing you may notice, anytime you are here is that when your pumping gas, there is music playing, classy music, not the regular radio junk. On occasion you will hear jazz, once I was listening to a few songs of Michael Buble while siping my dirty windows. The location is great, for all people crossing the border, and the service is pretty good too. I noticed that they also offer currency exchange. While waiting for our dinner to be made we wandered into Hill's to grab some ciders/beers to go. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly gentleman upon entering, and made our way to the massive drink cooler with the talking moose head. The choices were extensive, prices were reasonable and everything was ice cold and ready to go. The gent behind the counter was a delight, so friendly and chatty but also professional. We made this our beer stop any time we needed drinks during our stay in Birch Bay. read more

If you are headed over to Canada, this is your last stop to get gas before crossing and first after you cross into the U.S. The prices are lower than what you would expect to pay in Canada which is quite high for a gallon. It is your standard station with the regular selections along with a diesel option. Still the prices here are quite a bit higher than in the Seattle area. Noticed that the price per gallon is $.40 more here than in Bellingham. I would suggest filling up in Bellingham on trips to and from Canada as the price per gallon rises as you head north. Otherwise I would suggest stopping here or expect to pay a premium for convenience when you cross over. read more

I am a Vancouverite (the one in Canada) and used to travel all the way to Bellingham to take advantage of the cheap fuel at the Costco pumps. So yeah, I pay more at Hill's Chevron. BUT -- it is the best gas station I have ever been to in North America! First of all, the washrooms are squeaky clean and have real HOT water. This is a novelty for me because in Canada the taps only dispense cold water - and in very brief spurts - hardly long enough to get your hands wet. Second, there is an adequate selection of inexpensive Washington wines (again, in Canada you cannot even buy wine in a gas station). Third, lots of yummy treats for the road -- among them, BUGLES (my favourite corn-chippy snack no longer available in Canada). Fourth, friendly people at the till with smiling faces. Fifth, while you pump your gas you can listen to Jazz!!!!! Only in Blaine. Only at Hill's. Listen, don't get me wrong.... I love being Canadian. I could never live in a country where half the population loved a snake like Trump. But Blaine has its charms, thanks to this wonderful gas station. read more

Viki was very helpful first thing in the morning and new the current exchange rate without even glancing. They gave me a sense of welcome I thought was lost in the modern day gas station experience. I've only been there twice and was treated like a "regular" both times. The most notable part I have to speak up about is that the bathrooms are cleaner than most the restaurants in town. read more

There is a very nice gentleman, named Guy, working there. We were in a pickle crossing the border into Canada and he helped us out. I have gotten to know the owner of this station very well, and he is perhaps one of the most humblest of men I have ever come by. He has a great attitude about life and is a servant at heart. He serves the community all the time without ever being asked, and he gives the right people an opportunity to grow. The environment this station creates is wonderful! They set the example that you would like to see coming into such a peaceful and beautifully quiet town like Blaine. They truly give this town class. And they are well worth the visit! read more

This gas station is great! It has excellent customer service and a nice clean feeling. The bathrooms are open to the public and have always been kept clean every time I have been there. They have a friendly staff that will help with all your needs, sometimes even car trouble when the mechanic on site is busy. The gas price is a little high, but it is about a dollar cheaper per gallon than up in Canada. The music they have playing 24/7 is a nice little touch. I've seen some people dancing to the jazz or frank Sinatra a couple of times. They offer gasoline, diesel, and common service station amenities. They also offer propane tank exchange and can fill a propane bottle or car tank when they have the staff to do so. All in all I find it a nice spot to fuel up. read more

Expensive, this is the most expensive gas station in Blaine, they fleece the customers. Fill up on any one of the stations on D street just north east around the corner. read more

This place charges about $1.00 more per gallon that the competitors right around the corner on D Street, and when I brought it up with them they could care less. Save your money and just drive a block around the corner and save lots of money, this place does not offer good prices nor sincere service read more
