The store is in a cute location and easy to find. There were plenty of staff to help out. Selection was ok. They seemed to have a little bit of everything (home goods, knick knacks, purses, jewelry, clothing) but not a lot of anything (I was interested in formalwear the day I went in). I wrote a review a few years back and I am surprised to see this does not have a 5 star rating! Those that consign have the ability to price their own items,and the majority is truly higher quality.It can be hit or miss,depending what you are looking for,as it can be in a regular retail situation,so when you DO decide to check out the shop,keep an open mind! I found a beautiful black coat with designer closures that was a $500.00 item brand new-priced at $25.00! I then saw it was beyond the 30 day mark,so it was 12.50! I often find mens' Ralph Lauren/LL Bean better name brands that are in stellar condition and can pick up a 60-75.00 dollar shirt for my brother 5-10 dollars! Just scored a new LL Bean shirt that is in catalog for 59.50 and paid 8.00 for it! My mom loves the Vera Bradley bags and I picked up a nice black one for her last year for $10.00 and a white summer one for $1.00!!! The shop had a face lift this past year too,so for those who have not been shopping,you will be pleasantly surprised!All the volunteers that give so much of their time,tagging,putting out the clothing,ringing up the items,making sure the inventory is well taken care of,TRULY do an amazing job! The funds (40% of the fee charged on the items you buy) are donated to to a scholarship fund and other local charities.I KNOW that Savers does do some charity work,but it is not very much,as most of it goes into MR SAVERS pocket...And he probably finds a way to write off as much of that as possible. So-next time you a re looking to donate to a cause,remember this. ALSO!!!They have a $2.00 rack!I bought a Talbots dress for a wedding that had original tag of 145.00! BRAND NEW! Giving back to the community their story impressed me. I happily consign and donate items. The staff is very welcoming and they take extra care in selecting what they do accept. I always find something unique and will be back. I know with Covid what that struggle is for all small businesses and glad they can move forward! read more

Terrible staff. Absolutely horrible. I was standing in line for an extremely long time with my 2 year old to buy a dress. A sign on the counter clearly stated they accept cards. When it was finally my turn they decide they don't accept cards. I then go to the atm and return after wasting a half hour in their line as they take care of some lady in what seems like slow motion. On top of it all they were extremely RUDE. read more

Best consignment shop around. I have been a patron here for the last seven or eight years make that 10! always satisfied always find a good deal and is a great way to empty your closet and pick up a few new garments to replace them. Staff is courteous, friendly and helpful. Plus I feel like I am doing a good service to the high school students and the scholarship fund! Win, win, win...all the way around. read more

The Duxbury Thrift shop is re-cycling at its best! The quality control on items entering the store is usually stringent, so the items are in good shape. Items are 1/2 price after 1 month! You can find anything and anyone in the shop and the volunteers are incredible. The icing on the cake is the proceeds from the store go to Duxbury High School College Scholarships! It's best to visit often, there is good turn around! read more

Lots of name brand stuff and some great household treasures! Somethings seemed a bit over priced but overall a great experience.

Short, overweight, saleswomen with short brown hair was beyond rude to my children and I. The store is too congested for my stroller to fit through the aisles, so I let my son look at the children's books while I looked around. She said he was "here without a mother, pulling things off the shelves and it was unsafe." She had nothing to say when I told her that my stroller couldn't fit and of course I would put the books back when he was done. She just shook her head and walked away. Not one employee offered to help hold the door while I struggled to leave with my stroller through the narrow exit. Very unwelcoming and unfortunately, this is not a kid (or mom) friendly shopping environment. read more

Not as cheap as Savers or Goodwill, and the store isn't very big, but the shoe selection is pretty good and the dressing rooms are spacious and easy to get in and out of (pull curtain). I wouldn't make a special trip to go there unless you're in the area, but fun to poke around if you are in Duxbury. read more

I have been consigning here since 1983....I love the place! The ladies that volunteer there are fabulous. Not only do I bring in stuff to sell, but I have also found some fantastic finds here. I think it's a great little shop with a lot of charm and social flavor! read more

Brought my high school/college age nieces from RI who are big consignment junkies. They had so much fun shopping in the store, and got such cute dresses at great prices. Every dress they bought had a designer label. One of them bought a designer dress and matching shoes that looked never worn for $13.00 total. They thought the prices were great and not overpriced like mentioned in some other reviews. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. They gave it up a big thumbs up. read more

I love this thrift shop but would not consign here as the volunteers "hold" items until they are half price and then THEY purchase them. I know of 3 separ times that this happened and it is not fair. read more
