As I move into a new place, I am looking for some special pieces, whether in decor, rugs or even complementary small furniture pieces. I decided to stop in at Dwell to see if anything felt like a good fit. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for this time around - though they had plenty of great pieces and they get new items in all the time - but I have to share how wonderful and helpful their team is. Not only is the store well designed and easy to navigate, but while I searched, I was asked by a few team members during my walk around if I needed any help. They weren't pushy and didn't stop me from what I was doing - just gently reminding me they were there if I needed them. Eventually, I realized I could use their help with some design choices I wasn't sure about. They happily walked around and showed me items like what I was looking for, and they were so helpful in honestly replying to my questions about whether certain items would look right with my furniture, which I showed them a photo of. They were honest and weren't just trying to make a sale - letting me know that my hesitation was right and the certain item didn't quite fit. But they showed me some other items that might. Super helpful and I truly appreciate their time and friendly demeanor. Now, to the gem I found along the way! Last holiday season, I badly wanted to purchase this adorable golden bear decor, as it reminded me of the giant golden bears out on Water Street. However, they sold out quickly and had to be purchased as a pair with a second panda decor that I didn't want, so I never purchased it. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to the Interbay Dwell location today and found it! I'm so excited to display it for this holiday season. Once I finish up with my move, I'm excited to go back to Dwell and figure out the finishing touches. And I know the friendly team there will be there to help! read more

We found this store on Instagram through their "date night at dwell" promo, they were offering Orlando residents a chance to drive to Tampa, check out the furniture and if they made a purchase of $1,500+ they would arrange for a night at a hotel and provide gift card to have dinner in Tampa. That's such great marketing! I was in the market for a new comfy sectional and saw their cloud "Rachel" sectional online and I knew I found *the one.* We drove out to Tampa and were quickly greeted when we walked in the store and offered complimentary beer or wine. This place has a whole bar inside y'all! All their furniture is right up my style too! I found the sectional I had been eyeing and sat down surely enough it was so comfortable, like sitting on a marshmallow. We made the purchase right away. Dwell made sure to arrange a night for us at a aparthotel called "The Roost" on water st. It was such a swanky place! We also got a $60 gift card and had a nice meal by the water. Dwell is located conveniently close to where we live. When we first visited they offered us drinks to shop around, what a nice offer. You can get anything from seltzers, beer or coffee. The staff is friendly and not pushy, letting you look around on your own. We were looking for a credenza for our living room and found one that was discounted. We ended up getting it for a rather good price and it was made in Jaipur (how cool). We decided to take it home ourselves to avoid the shipping fee since we lived so close. It was a tight fit in our car but the team gave us some strings to tie down the truck since it didn't fit all the way in. Once we unboxed it we noticed the magnet door wouldn't close on one side and the screw was off on the handle. Dwell followed up to check on us and I was able to share the issue. They sent someone over in the next few days to fix it and had to come back with a new piece. Dwell resolved the issue quickly and we are happy with it in our living room. read more

Unbelievable service! Jeff and his team are far and above the rest when it comes to great customer service. My wife and I were greeted with complementary drinks when arriving to select our new sofa. There were no pushy sales tactics here, but the staff were available if we had any questions about our purchase. Safe to say we left very happy with our new furniture, due to be delivered in 2 weeks. Oh and the best bit? As we drove over from Orlando, they paid for us to stay the night in a local hotel AND treated us to dinner on them! Went to the showroom on Lois. Unlike some other furniture stores in the area, everything on display was in stock. The staff was very welcoming. They did a nice job of giving us space to look around while also checking in at regular intervals to answer questions, explain what items were customizable, etc. Once we settled on a couch, purchasing was quick and easy. All prices are marked in the showroom so no surprises when you finalize your purchase. Delivery is a flat fee of $99 and was available within 1 week. The delivery experience also surpassed some other retailers we've used. The communication was clear about the delivery window. They arrived right when they said they would. Let me know how we're going to spend around 4-5k on our couch for zero quality. I left two stars instead of one because everything they have is so cute I also got dresser and side table pairs which came damaged and had to be fixed but the quality is actually saddening. Got told we can only spot stain which was fine with us only to realize once we got the couch super dirty, we actually can take off the cushions so months where I could've just washed them I was told it's not possible. When taking them off to wash today we find this inside. Every cushion is ripped open and exposed with 99% fluff instead of down. I love all the pieces dwell offers but I'll never again get a cheaper version of a luxury item for this quality. Mind you we got this less than a year ago and it's just me and my bf living with it. read more

I found this place on Instagram one day as I was looking for local places for cute furniture. This place is not your run of the mill, same old Ashley or Rooms 2 Go type place! They receive their furniture from 60 different distribution sources, each piece very unique and not something you'd find elsewhere. The staff is very friendly and readily available to help; they aren't overly sales pushy. While Dwell could use more floor space(aka a bigger building) I'd say the best part too is the fact that they serve complimentary wine and beer! What other kind of furniture store does that?! Be careful when you set up a delivery time with Dwell. My couch took 4 weeks to come in, I set up a delivery time for a specific date and no one called me on that day. When I called to asked, turns out they set it for a week after the delivery date we talked about and could not fit me in to actually deliver the couch when originally promised. read more

Sadly, we have to update this review due to poor experience. Disclaimer, we understand its covid and my mother was extremely patient waiting for her table since August. As a veteran, she wanted to support a small business and I recommended Dwell after seeing the store on Instagram. My mother fell in love with a car height table that was ordered and paid in full back in August. She's recently widowed and bought a townhome and is decorating for her smaller space. For months, my mom has been told that her item was back ordered because of covid. Patiently she waiting. Dwell even gave her a temporary table a few weeks ago so she could have thanksgiving dinner. Then today happened. We were awaiting another update on her table. Mind you, the staff is very kind, however, my mom has called to follow up 80% of the time. 9 days later, I am EVEN MORE impressed than I was when I bought this couch. I went there very stressed out, because I needed a couch for an unplanned, near-immediate move, and you can't find a couch anywhere these days. I was in real tears when I found one that was at a great price, attractive, and would fit in the small, weird floor space my new home required me to work with. Details not really that important - there ended up being a problem with the couch, which I did not realize until I got to my new home with my new couch. (The materials are very well packaged, which makes them GREAT for transporting, but difficult to inspect for accuracy). For a local transaction, it would have been an easy fix, but I moved about 5 hours away. I didn't know WHAT to do! I travel a lot for work and would not have been able to go home and deal with it for a while. I had spent about $600 moving the couch (with other furniture, too) and wasn't really looking forward to sinking MORE money into correcting the issue. I didn't even want to *complain* at first, because the people had all been SO NICE and so helpful. But, as it was, the couch I had was not useable. Via email and over a weekend, Dwell came up with an INCREDIBLY FAIR (maybe even too fair?) solution for me and executed it 2 days later. This move has been SO incredibly stressful and hectic and messy and Dwell went above, beyond, over, under, around, and through to do their part to make it easier on me. There's even a bar in there and you can enjoy a glass of wine while you shop! They also offer design services.
