Wow.... getting here is a challenge. I love being in the middle of nowhere, but this drive seemed long even for me! And it is a test on the engine and brakes - you go up up up up and then down down down down on the approach to this park. Once there you find a campground with full hookup and non hookup sites, flush toilets, showers, boat dock, and even an archery range! This was such an AMAZING trip. We had a cabin and four camp sites for a family camping trip. There were 22 of us, and there was plenty of restrooms and wonderful shower facilities. The trails are great, the staff is awesome, the reservoir is amazing! The deer are so tame, we had them in our camp every day. Even with so many of us, the staff was super helpful and always took the time to answer our questions. We also did some geo caching, which is fun for the kids and grandparents, too. Kind of wished there was a place for WiFi service. It is camping, so you don't really want it everywhere, but one hotspot so you can adjust reservations would be helpful. But the staff were so amazing, one of them actually worked for the core of engineers, and was so helpful and informative, he was really interesting, and went above and beyond to help all of us have the very best time we could have.
