    As a local neighbor I complained to them in emails about there lack of snow removal during a…read moreblizzard a couple of weeks ago at 2917 Quadra street. I almost fell on my butt trying walking on the side walk. It was well after the city demands snow to be removed from sidewalks. I have gotten nothing back but threatening emails and harassment from the property manager Laurie. Completely unprofessional. Never an apology or statement saying they will do better. Just harassment and threats. Like that she has informed the city about me. Good cause I complained to the city about them. I never sent any sort of harassing email to her and was simply concerned of a property management company not meeting the civic duties. As well as the possible chance that the elderly or young would slip and seriously injure themselves. Stay away from this company at all cost. She has a superiority complex and clearly should be working with the public. I guess that is what happens when the tenancy rate is 1 percent and she feels she can talk down to anyone.

It has been months since we moved out and we couldn't be happier with our new living situation. However, we still think about the awful experience daily. The unprofessionalism conducted by the building manager was on the verge of unbelievable. Throughout our years at the location we heard countless occasions where the manager was yelling and screaming at tenants. Our experience upon moving-out found us in the exact same situation, and we were prepared for the coming fight! We did everything within our means to make it a smooth process for everyone without any altercations. I found myself getting screamed at by the manager because she was incapable of having a conversation with another person. We never met a single tenant that had a good experience with the building management. We never had a single complaint, rent was always paid on time, and we always conducted ourselves in a respectful/quiet manner. To be treated like this was absolutely unacceptable and completely unprofessional. Avoid at ALL cost! If I hadn't done my research on tenants rights and regulations for BC I have NO doubt we would have been scammed and cheated out of our damage deposit.

    Simply a horrible company to deal with. I moved into an apartment in Oregon and discovered multiple…read moreproblems and defects on my move in day. I was shocked that they would give me the keys to an apartment that had so many issues that should have been obvious to whoever inspected the apartment (if anyone did) prior to management giving me the keys. Shortly after moving in, I discovered the apartment had insects, dirt, multiple electric and plumbing defects including broken shower, broken sink, broken dryer, damaged window screens, filthy toilet, broken thermostat, and a 24x7 buzzing noise in the ceiling above my bed. I don't know if anyone inspected the apartment prior to giving me the keys but it didn't appear to me like anyone did. They should not have given me the keys to an apartment that had so many issues. I tried to contact the manager to let her know I couldn't stay in this apartment due to the condition and my health issues ( I was suffering from hyperthyroidism at the time). I was told that I would have to wait for the manager to return from vacation in around 10 days and there was nobody else available who had the authority to let me out of my lease. I was shocked to learn that a large company like this didn't the proper backup in place for a manger who was on vacation. I moved out after spending only five nights in this horrible apartment that had multiple issues that should have been resolved prior to my moving in. I've tried escalating my issue but have never been able to get through to anyone in upper management at Cushman & Wakefield. I always say don't judge a company by their mistakes. Judge them on how they resolve their mistakes. If I were grading them, I would give Cushman & Wakefield an "F-" grade on resolving their mistakes. Now, I must fly back to Oregon to deal with Cushman & Wakefield in small claims court. They are demanding that I pay almost $3k for cancelling my lease which I had the absolute right to do under Oregon law. I've tried escalating but have found it impossible to get through to anyone in upper management. I spent my career in Corporate America and owned a successful technology business for the last eleven years prior to retiring. I know how companies should be run and managed. I don't know what happened to Cushman and Wakefield. They used to be a good company. I recommend against renting an apartment or doing any business with a company who doesn't take responsibility for their mistakes and won't return calls or messages when you try to escalate to upper management.
