All she is doing is drinking two protein shakes a day so basically 2 inches and that's it and she needs more than that.. When I called the practice, it was a huge hassle just trying to relay the information over to the DR. They did test but they've never gotten back to her and that was last year and I'm growing even lean more concerned with my Mom state of not eating.. For all this office bureaucracy nothing is getting done to help the patient. I'm very discouraged with what I'm seeing with this DR and I've worked in healthcare since 1993.

Next three days I had the best care from every nurse/nursing assistant, physical therapist, occupational therapist, phlebotomy tech, folks that brought my meals and people that cleaned my room thoroughly every day. I hope I never need surgery or to be hospitalized. But if I do, this is the only hospital I will be choosing. I even made a video on my YouTube channel to thank everyone that cared for me. THANKS TO SCRIPPS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL LA JOLLA! After suffering from back pain for over 20 years (level 5 to 10, daily), Dr. Coufal's work released me from pain. The numbing in my feet and hands that made me unable to walk or create art (I'm an artist) was gone in recovery room. A week after surgery, I was walking without a walker. Now 5 months after, I am walking with no pain and don't take pain meds every day. If I over do it, I may need Advil but that would be for anyone.

I will review that separately. But I came back here for a follow up with Dr. Kirk, and it was terrific to be back in this office. It is spacious and clean and everyone is extremely nice. Luis did the beginning of my eye exam and was funny and patient as the bright lights shone in my eyes. And Dr. Kirk was extremely helpful when he came in. I intend this to be my regular ophthalmologist going forward. Dr. Kirk has been terrific over the years and told me what I needed to watch for as i got older, so when it happened I knew to call and was lucky they could get me into the other office right away. But I will still come here in the future!

After volleyball, the knee would swell up to grapefruit size. I considered getting surgery, but was reluctant to have the downtime and concerned about having even less meniscus after they clean it up. He took snapshots of the ultrasound before the Stem Cell injection and after. You could literally see the meniscus tear getting new tissue. They used Ultrasound to precisely guide the injection, so it affected the injured area. I started playing volleyball again, and there was no click, no pain, and no swelling. Aging sucks. Injuries happen. I just feel really lucky that with modern science, I can still do the activities I want to do. Patrick is an absolute magician.

I had already paid for labs (which had to be repeated due to lab error). This was a failure of communication and patient-centered care.
