At the time, the planetarium offered free shows every Tuesday evening, and the shows change each month. They may offer more shows or other days of the week depending on the season, so check before you just show up at 7 PM. The presenter made the show fun and interactive with audience participation, and it was just around an hour- perfect in length. The shows are great for all ages and kid-friendly, especially if your child is elementary school age or above (probably not the best for toddlers or very small kids). It's great for adults too and would make a fun date night, because let's be honest, when's the last time you thought of going out on a date to a planetarium? The world is pretty stressful in general, but looking at the stars is comforting and calming. If you live in the Bowling Green area or nearby, I recommend checking it out.

We attended a men's basketball game, but women play there too as well as volleyball. This was our first time visiting Western Kentucky University. I'd recommend getting a red towel and taking in a game when you're on campus. Concession stands have regular game day snacks, with free refills on popcorn. AND THEY SELL COLD BEER! Our NCAA conference doesn't allow alcohol sales at college games. We were surprised, but at $5 each, we saw nobody overindulge. The Hilltoppers put on a great show, a nail biter at the very end. Parking garage is conveniently located right next door. Or you can park elsewhere on campus, take in the beautiful grounds, stop at the kissing bridge and maybe even spot a white squirrel. Take in the athletic action if you get the chance. Go Big Red!

You pull up to big entrance and pay. Then you can park where ever you want. They give you a schedule at the entrance. Now looking at it, it seems they have something going on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They also even have events going on sometimes during the week days. They are open April to November for racing and other events. So they are closed December, January, February, and March which are the Winter months. I wished this track was closer to me because I would be a regular. One feature I really liked is that they have bleachers with roof tops. So you don't have to sit out in the hot sun. You can see these roofs in the pictures I took. As a matter of fact, there are bleachers on both sides of the track. So you can choose either side.
