Wayne is the owner and is about one of the nicest men I have ever met. He is always kind, open, and willing to shoot the shit with you after a workout. The gym is decently sized and although a lot of the equipment is older, there is plenty of it, and all of it works well. Three squat racks (four if you count the cage), three flat benches, multiple inclines and military presses, dumbbells up to 150lbs, dedicated deadlift station, and more. There is an aerobics room in the back. You can also buy shakes, pre-workout, etc from the front. There are also tanning beds upstairs. Wayne also runs a U-Haul business out of there, so if you have any moving needs, he can help with that as well. All around the best gym I have ever been to. Wayne became a good friend to me while I lived in Westlake and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

She was also dressed in what looked to be pajamas. Not a great look when doing a first class with 5 potential customers/members. After the trial class, I received texts for the next 2 months asking me if I wanted to do a trial class.... So it seems pretty unorganized. I haven't heard anything good from anyone else either. One friend had told me classes regularly end 10-15 minutes early. Another friend told me that she regularly goes to a location out of state and it's amazing there but the energy at this one is off. I have also been to BYLD and Epic. Love both of those and highly recommend BYLD!

My legs were all excited and wanted to continue but my poor lungs haven't had that level of cardio in a hot minute and blessed me with a few dry heaving sessions in front of some poor homeowners decorating their lawn for the holidays. "Muscle Activation" is amazing and John's knowledge of it is impressive. Brb as I proceed to read scholarly articles on this gold. Besides the MAT sessions, I've also attended the new classes given in the new area located next door and liked it. The trainer Rebecca (sp?) is challenging and encouraging at the same time and had me sweating through my shirt in no time at all. The gym is always clean and tidy as well, which I greatly appreciate.

I was worried when I learned vinyasa was faster flow, but I was able to keep up with her cueing and demoing. The other people in the class were very nice too when they learned I was visiting and a novice in yoga. I was able to borrow mats and blocks for class. It was "fitness-y" enough for me to get a sweat, too (in a non-heated class). I wanted to buy a bunch of shirts but there was only one left in a size I was looking for, so I got it for my friend Sarah S. who teaches yoga. It's yoga, y'all!
