Dear Yelpers, I hope all is well! I'm writing this review because I know how stressful it might be to hire an electrician or any type of professional here in Miami. Why? You're scared of getting scammed, scared they might mess something up that's already existing or scared they might start the job and not finish. Well - Yunior at Dynamic Volt was the complete opposite of everything I described. He was the first one to answer the answer the phone, first one to come out for an assessment, first one to send a quote and he had the best price after competitive shopping. Once the job got started he was very prompt with permits and following up with FPL or city officials which were not as responsive. He was very fast, detailed and knowledgeable with all the work completed. I would definitely recommend him for any type of electrical work you may need done at home or at your job. Good Luck! We lost power to our pool pump/mechanicals and were losing the chemical balance of our water. I called on a Wednesday night around 6:30 PM, Yunior was immediately available and was at our house at 7 AM as promised on time. Had the issue diagnosed quickly - line from main panel to pool equipment was buried in metal pipe 20 years ago and pipe had failed causing a short and the pool control panel was shot. Yunior had a full detailed quote to us in less than an hour. Quote was fair and Yunior was able to schedule a crew to be out the next day at 7 AM. Crew and Yunior showed up early in the morning, crew worked hard and wrapped up by afternoon. Yunior stopped by as they wrapped to ensure we were satisfied and to show me how to set the new mechanical timer in the control panel. They did the job, but wouldn't use them again. The job was to connect the pool heat pump and the a spa. 1. they didn't connect the second ground. Pool company said it'll void the warranty. 2. They didn't close the cover properly. screws are missing and it's not sealed. Again, the pool company said it'll void the warranty as well. 3. SPA was left connected to the outlet while it has no water. The spa company (hot spring) said that a licensed electrician would know that it'll damage the spa. 4. I got a quote for the pool heat pump, but was trying over and over again to get a quote for the spa with no luck. They just did the job and after the job was done already, they told me the amount ($1,135), which isn't fair as I couldn't make the decision. 5. Communication. Once they got the money, forgot about it. I'm sending messages but no answer. read more

We had scheduled with Junior for him to come and do the job and he never showed up and then stopped picking up the calls! Very unprofessional. My condominium was asking for Certificate of Insurance and maybe he did not have what was needed and instead of communicating clearly he just went dark... I contacted him because of the reviews on Yelp but I guess they are not be trusted. UPDATE: If you want proof of how unprofessional he is just read his lengthy response below. Instead of just apologizing for not showing up on the scheduled appointment without any prior communication to reschedule (he did not send me a single SMS, email or voicemail) he makes ALL kids of excuses. So if you have any issues with him dont expect accountability. Reminds me of the kid in elementary school that used the "The dog ate my homework" excuse. Come on man. Just want to say Yunior and his team are outstanding. We ended up not doing the job on their advice, but they put in a lot of effort in coming over and understanding how expensive the job would be, and carefully explaining why it would be much more expensive that we thought. All at no charge to us. I love that they discouraged us from overspending instead of the opposite. I most appreciate contractors who are honest, reliable and communicate clearly. Last week our power went out, on a Sunday night in August with a 3 year old and a 9 month pregnant wife in my home. Yunior spent about an hour with me on the phone and texting that night addressing the issue and temporarily restoring our power. He moved around his schedule last minute due to our situation being urgent and had a crew out the next morning to do a complete upgrade of the electric in our home. Thankfully he was familiar with our old 1930's house and its undersized electric system, so with just a few pictures he knew the panels and material needed, and got the job done in a day. He was professional and had an open line of communication whenever I needed him, while his crew was here working and everyone on the job worked efficiently and professionally. The price for the work was very fair especially considering the speed they were able to get it done and the times we are in with labor and parts being so expensive. I live in a townhouse condominium ( 14 buildings) and we were looking for a company to install sensors at our lights attached to the buildings, some timers and repair some exposed wires. So I contact Dynamic Volt and I received Yunior reply in a couple hours. He scheduled the visit to the next day and the proposal was at my email box at the end of the day, and after 3 days, the work was done ! In 5 days I was able to receive his call, receive an estimate and had our problem solved. I do want to say that because it is not usual to have such a prompt reply from some contractors . I contacted Yunior for adding some lighting fixtures and he was responsive initially, even did a live video to show him ceilings and work needed to be done. Sent him the links to fixtures and he said he would provide an estimate, even confirmed the date of install. I was flying in to Miami and needed this work done this day - after our talk he ignored all other texts/emails the rest of the week. Now I am flying in and can't find an electrician to do the work that day. Just common courtesy - even if you can't do the work, just tell the person so they can find someone else. Don't say you will and then just ignore the person, that's just not professional. I would not recommend relying on this company. read more

We couldn't find the switch to the light socket in my ceiling. When looking on Yelp for an electrician, I initially messaged multiple businesses. However, Yunior from Dynamic Volt was the first to respond to my inquiry and was extremely professional. He offered to come out and see the problem, and told me that was even available that same day! After his visit, he gave me multiple solutions, and offered to come back the same day to do the work. Yet, I didn't feel pressured to make the decision, you know? His costs are very, very reasonable and he was very upfront about the whole thing. Which as a first time homeowner, i was more than pleased with. He left, after which I discussed options with my husband. We both felt like this was the best option. So he came back that afternoon, did the work I initially needed done, and i was so impressed with his professionalism and ethic that i hired him to install and fix two other light fixtures in my home. I texted him that morning to confirm and when he didn respond i called and got his machine so i left a message. i called and texted 2 or 3 more times and i asked to reschedule and i told him that if he no longer wanted the job to please let me knw so i cud stop contacting him. i still haven't heard a word. Just an update. After I posted my poor review, the owner called me a couple of days later. He said that the disappearance was due to COVID (not him, a family member) and that he is dealing with a lot...BUT "his team is still out working" - he just "isn't able to do paperwork". He said that he would refund the $150 I paid just to get the estimate, in early July, and that he would still send me the estimate. I thanked him and told him that since he was trying to be fair, I would take the review down once he did those things, to be fair on my end. Today is September 6. No refund, no estimate. If his team is still out working, he's making money. He took mine, and I got nothing. And he did say that $150 is nothing to him- well, it's a LOT to me. My review still stands at this point.
