I'm new in the area and was looking for a barber to give me a temple fade. I called ahead of time and asked if they did appointments. They told me "No, we don't do appointments you can just walk in, nobody is here" when I got there, not only were all of their chairs filled, but they most certainly did do appointments. I had an appointment made 3 hours in advanced on a Thursday afternoon, came at the appointment time and waited 45 minutes and seen 3 people who seemed to know the barbers walk right in past the line and sit in seats. After trying to let the barber we made appointments he claimed I just got there. Not sure how they have over 1 star, it's definitely not a barbershop for travelers. I never taught that I would find myself writing a bad review but unfortunately my experience was so poor that Is important that other customers are aware. Normally when you go to the barber you mellow down and hope to come out looking bit better at the end of the session. I was attended by the guy in chair number 4 left side. I told him what I wanted and he carry on. After 10 min he stopped and showed me his progress. At that point I told him that the shape he was doing was not what I normally get to please cut higher. That request did not land ok with him. I made the request in a decent manner was not rude at any point to this person. But the request did not land good to him. He started closing the dresser hard and cutting angry. Until he stopped to show me the progress. It look very off so I pointed out. He was just mad and said I did what you said. I peer of his got close to him and told him just fix the back like the sides it will look good. He restarted again with bad attitude. He got to what would be the end of the cut. I had all kinds of high spots. So I said to him I am pretty sure you are a good barber but what you just did does not reflect your best work. He kept responding to me in a bad tone and wanted to continue cutting. At that moment I said is ok hope you have a good day.stopped the session. I asked How much do I owe you. He charged me $30. For a session that was un profesional and me leaving the place kind sad cause I was looking forward for that hair cut. This has been the first time in my life I don't tip the barber as well. But the service and results where so bad that I could not do it. I am strong believer in tips specially for barbers I know it's an art and I reward hard work. Alright so this barbershop is good most barbers cut you really well here, I'm only giving it 2 stars for the last guy that treated me which was one of the worst haircut jobs and wasted expenses of mine. The barber was named Arien, or Ariel he mumbled it so I forgot, young white guy mid 20s with short reddish blonde hair and beard. Most guys hear speak barely any English, but this guy spoke English (and Spanish) well, I still don't understand why he didn't cut my hair like I asked. My haircut was kind of okay, I asked him to just cut the tip of my hair, about a centimeter but he cut more than that and now I look kind of off, I did tell him to cut the sides about 4 down to 3 fade, which he did. I'm not that angry about the haircut, it's "ok". The problem with my experience is that this guy accidentally cut me behind my ear (I even think twice, a small cut on the top of the ear and a smaller one on the back). I didn't notice until my brother told me when I showed him my cut. Haircut wasn't the best, especially since I've almost never been cut like that in a barbershop. He finished, looked alright not the best. I asked this guy how much it is, I though I heard him say $20. Huh, most of these guys say $15, I thought "fine but this guy isn't getting tip as I mostly give a 5 dollar tip. I kid you not i give him the $20... GUY SAYS THAT IT WAS $25!!! Recently moved into the area and have been looking for a place to get a decent, relatively inexpensive haircut. Qualification - I don't mind going to a salon but have always preferred a proper barber experience. I discovered this place after going to the Hair Cuttery located in the same complex. Wish I had found it first. Nice guys inside with a definite hip hop vibe. Many of the barbers are younger and seem to specialize in fades, close crops, and hair designs. Not my particular style but they accomplish basic, traditional cuts as well. Both cuts I have had there were some of the best I have had in Orlando. No frills. No fuss. Guy figured out what I wanted from some basic instructions. I personally prefer the old-school vibe of Nick's Barber Shop in MetroWest. But this is a viable alternative. I've always had great haircuts here but if you're going to be open until 8pm on a Saturday then be open until 8pm on Saturday! Your door being locked at 7:15pm on a Saturday is unacceptable. Okay so you have to work past 8pm? When you're open until 8 you should actually be open until 8! Otherwise, what's the point? So essentially you should close at 6 or 7. I would not recommend this barber if your not a local. If you don't know any of the barbers on a personal basis they will make you wait. They have cell phones in their hands more than clippers. Poor Customer service. The barbers had their friends come in and cut in line. They're incredibly slow. The fellow cutting my hair would pause and text and talk on his phone; he even left me in the chair to go talk to one of his friends outside of the shop. My sides in the front were obviously asymmetrical, and the back of my neck is absolutely torn up from his handiwork.
