From the jump, Tippy demonstrated deep knowledge of insurance products (including terms and conditions that I found confusing), patience (in explaining the differences between policies), and responsiveness (often getting back to me within minutes for any question I had). She found us the best deal among insurers to cover our home, car (and later an additional car), and umbrella insurance from AAA; better than I could have found on my own. Before renewing this year, Tippy reached out, letting me know that she cross shopped my existing coverage across all the insurers and found us a better deal, saving us hundreds this year. She also flagged that insurers by and large were moving away from replacement cost value (RCV) to actual cost value (ACV) for roof replacements, which isn't as good, but out of her hands. I still appreciated the call out and it's exactly the type of proactive streamlined information I need to understand my choices and make a decision. Of course she only said this once I reached out and said I was unhappy working with the new agent. However before this, I was never notified about this nor was this updated on my insurance policies because they all stated that Keri was still my agent. Anyway the inexperienced colleague tried to convince me to stay with my current insurance company even though the roof deductible was more than doubled than the previous year and didn't even cover roof replacement. All these coverages were complex and costly and years later when we suffered a large claim, Chubb closed that office in 2007, here in Minnesota. ( Rosenbloom& Rosenbloom. Moved all their staff to an existing company). We had a lovely agent who was not well trained and had made major errors. In our policy. So we lost.... a lot. So ... I am now very very careful in researching agents, READING Yelp reviews, all of them, and especially learning exploring the many questions to ask. Then, I spent 2-3 long relaxed calls with most of the agents over several days. I took detailed notes and keep them in a Meade flexi 3 ring binder with names of agents dates at the top of each page. I find careful detailed notes are a big help in deciding which agent looks the best. Natalie is the VERY best agent I ever had in all these years. She is bright, extremely knowledgeable in all aspects nuances of coverage/ claims issues, so very comfortable easy and calm to work with, (rare) and a truly lovely and delightful human being. She and I spent many calls going over all the details of the needed policy. Our coverage is very complex and includes a rental with important old pieces of furniture and a lot of " stuff" in storage. Farmers to my knowledge is the ONLY company that will provide homeowners with 100 % coverage also on your storage. ( good if you are renting and storing most of your things for selling or family distribution later!!). Most other companies only offer 10 % of the total homeowners on storage or 25-50 %. I interviewed five other companies and Farmers offered us the most thorough RENTAL homeowner's insurance coverage. Their terms are EXCELLENT, their coverage easy to digest, and you can settle the contract with 100 % PEACE-OF-MIND! Good luck!!
