I liked the previous concept of open market-like restaurant better. It felt more like being in Italy than the current more formalized restaurant style but with poor quality service. The major issue is the wait staff that makes the whole experience unpleasant and uninviting. Despite booking a table, our name was nowhere and we were told to sit anywhere where there is a reservation for later time. I would expect when I order a bottle of wine and pay CZK 200 as bottle-opening fee that it would include staff actually pouring the wine for you when you finish the glass. We had to do it ourselves. They brought the main course before removing empty appetizer plates. So they placed the plate not in front of you, then removed the plates and we had to wait for the cutlery with our main course in front of us. No one asked us whether we liked the food, we have to flag the waiter and ask for deserts and coffee (very good though). We were ignored pretty much the whole time, but once we finish the bottle, the waiting staff came every 2-3 minutes asking if we want something else. For the payment, we have to go to a register to ask to pay, because staff was just standing there and talking to each other. The restaurant was quite empty, not busy at all. Not that being busy an excuse for the lacking service.

They have a bistro in the upper level and the lower level is an upscale grocery market. The prices are extremely high for Prague. The place does look to be fairly new and is extremely open and clean. I rarely so that many people in the market the times that I visited. Most of the items looked to be imported from other countries. The grocery section is good for fresh organic produce and bread. I did discover my new favorite potato chips from the UK - Jonathan Crisps. I am now obsessed with finding these in the US. So far no luck. I'm having to resort to getting friends to call in favors from people in the UK to ship me these things.
