A very inexpensive supermarket between the Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle. This place is right on the main tourist walkway up to the castle, and has non-tourist prices!
I learned about this grocer from a travel video channel called The Honest Guide to Prague. They highlighted this grocer as being several times cheaper than the grocer across the street, where things are just a plain ripoff. This place, everything is quite reasonably priced. I got a cup of coffee for under a Euro, and I witnessed some guy buying the store out of a certain brand of cigarettes, because the prices were so good!
The produce section was pretty weak, but they did have a great selection of cold, local beers and lots of things that tourists might need, like soap, toiletries, snacks and such.
The staff was quite friendly, and moved the customers along quickly. It's a shame that the place across the street from this grocer is still open- Four euro oranges! This place sells all the locals' stuff, along with some light souvenirs at very cheap prices!
The store was clean, the aisles were wide, and they had everything I was looking for! read more
