The playground has slides different heights of slides and climbing games for different ages. The swings have belted seat spot for anyone needing extra assistance. The ground cover is solid so you don't have to worry about wood chips or rocks! And the fields are wide and open to run in. They aren't as flat as you would hope for a game of soccer but it's doable. This spot is super hot for pickleball and tennis. There's also 2 baseball fields. They recently fenced off the elementary school field grounds for safety which I fully support! So obviously, both times, I have not been very close to City Center. However, I have been to City Center a few times in the last month and I am IMPRESSED with how much it is growing and expanding. I probably wouldn't have came to this park if it hadn't been for the farmer's market. I am in my early 20s and have no idea what to do at a park. Despite the farmer's market being very busy, there was still plenty of parking--I was quite impressed with the layout of the parking lot in particular. So I park my Jeep and head over. There were all kinds of vendors; food, handmade items, etc.. Then they had this massive play area for kids to enjoy. If you went a bit further, they also had a gazebo with tables. At the time of my visit, this was being occupied by some kind of reunion. It was a massive area so it is perfect for something like a reunion or party. They also did have some kind of splash area. Parks, especially ones with playgrounds, are not really targeted for my demographic--that being a single woman in her 20s with no children or even a dog. I wouldn't say this would be somewhere I would go out of my way for unless there is another fun event happening. I did enjoy seeing the cute dogs.

I've been to this park many times in the past year that it been open and today was a ton of fun!…read more We did part of my Family Reunion at the park today from 8:30am-5pm and the kids and adults were never bored! We had about 70 people attending and about 40 of them were kids ages 0-19. There was something fun for all ages! (Ok, to be honest the 2 month old didn't really say she had fun; but my 5 month old enjoyed laying on a blanket watching everyone around her so even the babies enjoyed it!) With it being a family reunion I had family in town from California, Arizona, and all around Utah and everyone was way impressed with all the amenities they had at this park! The families from Arizona were especially jealous; I guess where they live they don't have cool parks. We started off playing all over the park equipment and with us being there so early before the splash pad opened; we had the park to ourselves until 9:45am! Once the splash pad opened the kids transitioned to the water area and spent hours playing all over. We rented 2/3 of the large pavilion and were able to fit all of us easily under our part of the pavilion. If you need an outdoor area to gather lots of people; consider renting the pavilion! I think it was only like $50 (but I can't remember). We then had a big game of Kickball in their festival field area and then moved over towards the Pickleball courts where we had a Pickleball Tournament! We had teams of ages 12-61 playing so if you're looking for a mix between tennis and ping-pong: Pickleball is for you! Heads up: Bring your own equipment! We were prepared and had all we needed, but don't expect to rent out any equipment at the park. Also: Bring a canopy/tent or some type of shade! The pavilions are great; but if you want to get closer to the splash pad, bring your own shade! Overall: The day was amazing! One of my nephews has special needs and is in a wheelchair and he was able to ride on swings and other play equipment because they are "all needs accessible". I really liked that!

It's incredibly convenient that it's right by the Orem Public Library as well! We can go grab a few books for the week and then run around at the park right after! In addition, I love the two distinct parks that are there. There is one for older kids and then this park has a whole section for younger children called the "Tot Lot". The slides, swings, see-saw and all the interaction sections are aimed at a younger crowd. I love the distinction, but my five year old still enjoys running over and playing in this area as well. They have also thoughtfully created shaded areas for the parents to stand under. One by the main playground and then another by the swings. I adore a park with intentional spots of shade! I particularly like the variety of park "obstacles" here. To list a few, there are two different zip lines, four slides at the "big kid park", one slide at the Tot Lot area, a climbing wall, a little merry-go-round, musical instrument area for both parks, monkey bars and obstacles at different heights and so much more. The intention for this park to span age groups was achieved!!! So many things for kids of all ages to explore and play with. We love this park and would recommend to anyone!

Hmmm, I have no idea why they call it Dry Creek Update: 12 rounds of disc golf. Repeat the front 6 or the back six for 18 rounds. My wife and I just got back from the park. Practically had it all to ourselves. What a nice stroll. Sidewalk is clear of snow, except for the bridges. This truly is one of American Fork's best parks. Oh yes, I almost forgot. Yes there was flowing water in the creek. You know, the Dry Creek! And I have no idea why it says "Closed Now" online. Parking lot is open.

What an absolutely lovely way to spend an early fall evening. We were coming down from a drive…read morethrough the canyon, and were looking for a place to stop and stretch the legs and eat dinner. We happened upon this park, and even though the rest of the canyon was packed, this was spread out enough that it didn't feel cramped at all. We saw plenty of parking from the road, so we pulled off for a pit stop. We walked across the bridge and towards the trail--this park sits right on the Provo River and the walkway--and then wandered back towards the restrooms and large grassy area. There are pavilions, and some kind of amphitheater, but we were looking for a picnic table in the sun and found plenty of them. We picnicked indeed! There are lots of places to picnic, including the grass or tables, and saw lots of kids riding bikes and scooters along the walkways that wind around. It looks like you can take off into the trees a little, though I'm unsure if there are any official hikes. With the golden sun starting to get lower in the sky, we ate our sandwiches and drank in the ambrosia of fresh canyon air, turning leaves, and a place dedicated to people getting out to enjoy it all.

These suckers provide ample shade and enough beauty to be the backdrop to any family picnic. I'm not sure they'd be good for climbing, sorry kids. The limbs are so high up that you'd need a ladder to get up there. Let's not try that, mmmkay? In addition to trees, there's a nice playground, a large pavilion with tables and a few rec courts for basketball, etc. You can spend an afternoon here easily.

There was really no one there when I got there on a late weekday afternoon. I have a special place in my heart for baseball fields 'cause they remind me of the old days of when I used to play. This park in general is quite big, and I dig the huge trees and living grass (hey, it's worth mentioning!) There's a playground for kiddos and some bathrooms, but not sure if they're open. There is a skatepark + smaller park down the road a bit, too, which is nice if you wanna switch it up.

A pavilion is adjacent to the park as well-perfect for birthday parties. And a parking lot with ample space for all the park goers prevents street crowding for the neighbors that share the road with the park.
