I really enjoy spending time at Art Dye Park. It's one of my go-to spots when I want to go on a walk or do outdoor activities with my family. The park is huge and has a little bit of everything--open fields, a nice playground, pickleball courts, and peaceful, shaded walking paths. I often play spikeball here with my friends too, and it's a great space for that. The park always feels clean, and there's usually plenty of parking, which makes it super convenient. That said, a few weeks ago during Steel Days, they held a carnival at the park, and it was packed. Parking was really difficult to find with so many people there. But outside of special events like that, it's usually not a problem. Overall, it's a great place to hang out, get some fresh air, and enjoy time with friends and family. read more

The BEST dog park! It's large, spacious, and well maintained. The other dogs are always friendly as are the owners. For the most part, the owners are picking up after their dogs. Love the walking trail too to walk around when your furry friend is playing! read more

Easily the best dog park around--and we've been to a LOT. What makes Art Dye so great is its layout and I'm assuming also its upkeep. We've been to other dog parks that seem amazing when they're first opened and then deteriorate within the first year. This dog park has tons of space, trees, grass area, and a concrete path that weaves throughout the space. Owners can walk the loop while their dog greets other dogs and plays. It's nice because we get as much exercise as our pup does (okay, maybe not QUITE as much) and everyone can go home feeling like they got their steps in. Generally, the dogs that we've seen here have all been really well mannered--maybe a grumpy growl here and there--and the owners are friendly. Someone the other day generously donated tons of tennis balls to the park and others bring big jugs of water so dogs never go thirsty. Makes it a nice environment to be a part of. As an added bonus, they have a little agility area tucked into the corner of the park. We love taking our dog through a few of the obstacles to tire him out even more. read more

I love bringing my dog here; it's the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll while my dog gets to mingle with others. There's almost always a lively crowd of dogs! The owners here are usually pretty friendly and generally keep an eye on their pups. However, there was this one incident where a hefty 80+lb dog decided to assert dominance over mine. When the dog didn't stop, I picked my dog up, and the dog kept trying to jump up on me. The owner was nowhere to be found. Thankfully, two other attentive owners came to help. Turns out, the owner was just hanging out halfway across the park! I will also note that some people don't pick up their dogs poop, so be careful if you choose to step off the 'trail'. Also, during summer, there can be quite a few bugs around the trash cans. For some reason, those bugs also like to hangout on our clothes and hair! read more

Every time I visit American Fork, I fall in love with it. This beautiful park was no exception-it lured me and with it's big, beautiful trees and kept my attention with the variety of fun things to do. The Steel Days festival is what brought me to town, my son was performing in a couple of the bands in the line-up. Although there were lots of people, there was ample parking and plenty of space to accommodate everyone with their lawn chairs and oversized blankets. In the sweltering heat of the afternoon, my wife and I retreated into the shade where we found a disc golf course winding through the trees. It was a welcome shelter from the sun and a very different landscape compared to other parts of Utah. I love the variety! Of course, there are playgrounds, sports courts and open areas for running around. This park has it all! If anyone is planning a picnic here, please invite me. read more

It's a great park and has a great disc golf course and great pickleball courts and great softball fields and lot's of good soccer fields!

I wanted to throw some information in here for the dog park specifically since that's the primary reason I visit this park. It's honestly just an incredible dog park. I love the long path that wraps around the whole park and with the pushes and trees that cut through the middle it really feels like two or three parks instead of one. I'm curious to see how they maintain it this summer since the winter has really torn up the grass. Pretty great community as well, every once in a while there's an owner with a poorly behaved dog or something but you get that everywhere. I think it's really at a minimum at Art Dye and most of the owners here are pretty knowledgeable about training their dogs. Plus the park is large enough that if your dog isn't getting along well with another, it's pretty easy to avoid them by walking to the other side of the park. read more

This park was the perfect size for my 2 year old. I really liked that they had a fence around the playground so you can only enter through 2 entrance areas. It helps to keep kids contained. I gave only 4 stars because there's absolutely no shade near the playground and it was soooooo hot! The closest tree is across from the parking lot. It would be nice if there were some kind of shade. read more

I brought my dog here for the first time on a weekday afternoon. We like to find new spacious places for her to run around and explore, and this park did not disappoint because it is HUUUUGE. After throwing the ball as far as I could a few times, she was quite winded (and happy). I thought a dude was literally golfing "near" us (more like 100+ yards away), but I believe it was with whiffle balls. It made me laugh. I definitely want to bring my bf for some disc golf! There's also some baseball fields and probably other courts I could not even see during the short time I was there. FYI -- there isn't much shade if that's what you're looking for. read more

We really enjoyed our time on the pickleball courts here! We didn't do any disc golfing or participate in any baseball games, so this review is only for the pickleball courts and surrounding areas. This is in a great location near Cedar Hills, UT, with well maintained green grass and plenty of parking! There seems to be very little by way of shade or rooftop covering, so it would not be a great place to be at midday or during a lightning storm. The 6 pickleball courts are kept very nice- the nets and the paint look great for how much use they get. The only downside is that there is no way to "reserve" a court, and those playing can keep at it for an hour at a time until they have to turn it over. It's basically just a situation where you have to stand close to the fence and stare at the current players until they feel bad and give you the court. We had a wonderful time here, and would love to go back! There are bathrooms and drinking fountains not too far off, and the water was even kind of cold, which is rare for a public park! read more

This park is huge!! There's a small playground, 6 pickleball courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, empty fields, and a disc golf course. There's also a little path that connects with the Murdock Canal trail that takes you through a gorgeous grove of trees! My husband and I only ever come here to play pickleball. It's awesome when there are courts open, but when they're full, be prepared to wait an hour. People are allowed to play for an hour before they have to forfeit their court (plus some people will play for hours without leaving). This part of Art Dye park is terrible. They should have a better court reservation system in place so more people are able to use the courts. Art Dye park is great and big, but since most of the space is fields, don't come here expecting an awesome playground. There are other parks that have better playgrounds and much more shade. However, if you're looking for a field, totally come here! read more

Nestled in the heart of American Fork lies a fabulous, urban, outdoor retreat. There are 2 areas. Near the entrance there are a couple of baseball fields, a "jungle gym" and a large grass area. Further back (North) There are 3 softball fields with lights where recreation teams sponsored by AF Recreation play and practice. There is also a frisbee golf course, 2 more "jungle gyms" and a large expanse of grass that is also used by the AF Recreation Department for youth soccer, flag football and other recreation programs sponsored by the city. There are restrooms at the softball complex and near the soccer/open field area. There is walking trail through the park that I haven't ventured so I don't know where it begins or ends but it's well used so if you're into walking/jogging it's probably worth checking out. read more

Art Dye has one of the best disc golf courses in the state tucked away in it's trees. I grew up a couple of miles away from here and had no idea the course was put in back here. One day a friends cousin's husband introduced us to the sport and since then I've played hundreds of rounds. The course is intense. Narrow throws, tons of trees to hit, just a really tough course. Only one of the holes is really, really long, but the rest have enough things in the way to make this quite challenging course. Overall this is just a great course, that makes excellent use of the back part of the park. Hopefully it will be here for many years to come! read more
