The next week he and Mario (his boss?) called me at an unscheduled time. They made another phone appointment - they called 22 minutes late for that appointment. They were suppose to get some information and call me back - guess what, they never called me back. When I called the general customer service phone number, the representative was able to answer my question and then said it is better to call the main number rather than deal with a local office. When the representative checked, Mr. Champagne was not even listed as the contact for my policy - so will never deal with this office or buy Prudential products in the future.

I cannot believe that this major financial company farms out their phone calls to some third-world…read moredump, with antiquated phone systems and broken English (at best) phone clerks. And then, when I ask to be transferred to the USA to speak to someone who speaks English and is based in America and is a citizen, I get transferred to a toll-free number with automated prompts and responses and I can't get out of the loop. Then, after 5 minutes of frustration, I get a message that they are experiencing "very heavy call volume" (was there a national disaster I never heard about?) and I got disconnected. Thank God I didn't die yet!

Never same contact people there, so ended up speaking to at least 7 different people to find out job details or leaving messages in which NO ONE called back. I have many years professional experience and to hear absolutely nothing from them on any jobs is impossible. Definitely do not recommend. Total waste of time and much effort.

My husband and I had taken a whole life insurance policy out on our daughter when she was born 6 years ago. From the beginning, our account was being serviced by David Abel of Barnum Financial Group. In the beginning of the process when David was trying to sell us a policy, he was easy to work with. As time progressed, things became more complicated when we needed to make a simple, route update to our payment information (our longtime bank had closed so we had to open a new account, hence needing to update our account information for our monthly auto-deductions). Long story short, it appears the paperwork I completed with our new information and sent to David never went where it needed to be. David dropped the ball and I had no idea that my payments weren't being processed. The life insurance policy on my daughter ended up lapsing and I only found this out by receiving a standard FYI letter in the mail from Brighthouse. Despite the fact that he was working for me, David became belligerent and tossed me to the side when I questioned how something like this happened, making me feel as though my business did not matter. He even went as far as telling me to call the 800 number and that he was done working with me. As anyone could imagine, I was incredibly upset, especially after finding out my daughter's life insurance policy was inactive (God forbid a terrible accident would have happened and we would have not known we didn't have this policy to protect us) and by the way I was treated. I have worked in corporate American for more than 13 years and never, ever treated another or been treated the way I was by him. I am not one to write reviews, however I think it is important for others to be made aware exactly what type of person you are dealing with when it comes to such personal things as your money, investments and insurance policies. The client wants and expects a person of integrity, with values and morals, and David proved to have none in this interaction. I recommend David receive additional training on not only basic customer service skills, but also the importance of professionalism and empathy working in an industry like this. I am grateful for the MassMutual and Brighthouse teams that stepped in and rectified the situation in a matter of just a few days with compassion, empathy and respect. These women even apologized on David's behalf (what kind of man isn't able to do that himself?!). Thank you to Kara and Veronica and Tiffini for going above and beyond to rectify the situation and protect the name of your company. Rest assured, I have already submitted the paperwork to change my agent of record and I highly, highly recommend avoiding David Abel's "services" at all costs.

I was told that I would not be busy quite a bit....and to look busy. I figured maybe this would happen a couple times a month but it was happening for weeks at a time. It's like everyone had work to do and I as forgotten about at the reception desk. This is an Indian owned company....and truly if your not Indian your treated like an outsider. I'm in my 40's and it was like was in preschool. The day I was laid off happened like this. The head of human resources came out to get me....and the son of the CEO followed behind her. I was brought into a conference room. I was told they would not be keeping me cause of "lack of work".....which I agreed. I said I hadn't had any real work in quite awhile. I was told I would get unemployment....that was no problem....and I asked if they'd like me to finish out the day....they said no.....I could go. Well.....I got home and was looking over my paperwork. I came across the reason for my termination....it was "Dismissal / Suspension"....and I did a double take on that. I called the head of human resources who wasn't Indian and questioned that. She said I'm sorry Troy....but I can't change it. She sad if I did our account would be charged differently. I said well how does this help me? She said I know.....but that's what I was told to do. Needless to say....the next 3 to 4 years was horrible for me.....cause I couldn't find work. In my opinion....I think this company was bad mouthing me.....which I thought was against the law. In my life I've always gotten the jobs I've went after.....but in this segment of my life it was horrible. As far as this company is.....for computer repair (which is one thing out of several that they do).....I had seen several people bring their systems in....and they were kept for months at a time. So that department is not good at all!!!!!!! They also do a form of medical insurance and job placement. Not real good in the long run. Go with someone that's truly been around for a long time.

I was slightly unorganized, and feeling the pressure of a long line behind me, I came back the next day (easter). There were very few people and the tax professional helped me with my taxes, which included investments, both tradfi and crypto, rental income, and real estate depreciation.
