Visited the Novi office for the first time today. Had my appointment with Dr. David Seel as a referral from my family doctor. I could not have been more pleased with my visit. Check in was very simple and I did not have to wait to get into exam room. A very pleasant assistant took my medical history and asked about pertinent issues related to why I was there. Dr Seel came in a short time later and asked questions and listened to my answers before starting to exam me. He told me what he was going to do before he did it and why he was doing it. After the exam he told me what he found and what he thought the next steps should be. The whole time I felt like I was part of the process instead of being left out or treated like I could not understand what he may have to say. Dr. Seel and his staff were very professional, friendly and helpful in getting me in, getting me examined, and getting related appointments made. I am very happy with this experience and would HIGHLY recommend this doctor for your ENT needs. read more

Sargent Eric W Prefoms unnecessary surgery on my ear [as substantiated by several after the fact specialists]. Left me with poorer hearing and the lack of taste for the rest of my life. Food tastes terrible and always have a bad taste in my mouth. Even water is bad tasting. I can't find anyone or anything to help. read more

As a single mother with no family here, it was extremely difficult to manage childcare for my younger son and time off of work and all of the details that go into a surgery and a recovery like this. My son has been under anesthesia twice already in the past year and was very anxious about it and I had to help him through a lot of stress prepping him for the surgery which was supposed to happen on May 29. Unfortunately, out of nowhere, the surgical coordinator in his office, Candi, decided to cancel the surgery saying his BMI index was too high. What? I come from a family of doctors and this is a farce. So, I guess no one gets surgery done on them also if they are adult too? This is untrue and the most ridiculous excuse I've ever heard to pull the plug on a surgery. We are now forced to go to a different, much more experienced ENT and start the whole process over from scratch which means he will not get the help he needs for several more months now. I believe this practice is unethical and unprofessional and I would not go here unless you want a last-minute change in your child's care with the most moronic excuse on earth. My son had surgery just months ago at Beaumont Royal Oak, so it makes no sense to me. Run!

When I advised him that the procedure hurt, he told me "you're fine, just relax" while continuing with the procedure. I gagged while pushing his hand away, again telling him the procedure hurt. He ignored me and continued until I begin to cry... That's when he stopped. He was very rude and condescending while talking to me; basically advising that I did not know what was going on with my own body because he's the doctor and he knows best. When I advised him that I needed a doctor's note for a few days off of work since my condition was preventing me from working he told me "No, I'm not giving you a doctor's note because there's nothing wrong with you. You're fine." He refused to listen to anything I and constantly talked over me. When did it become okay to speak to a patient in this manner!? He is completely unprofessional when other colleagues are not around to witness his behavior. HE WILL NEVER RECEIVE MY BUSINESS AGAIN.

I got zero help from this doctor and I would not recommend. He sent me for a CAT scan and insisted…read moreseveral times that I bring him the CD for the CAT scan from one of the places on his recommendation list. Otherwise, I could go to Huron Valley hospital and he would logon to the site to see my CAT scan. Scheduled the CAT scan at RMT on Woodward in Royal Oak (from his list) and paid $350 and brought him the CD. The response I got was that he didn't have the software to read the CD. That was another $40 copay visit for him to just tell me that. Then why tell me to go to RMT and bring you the CD? Super frustrating, had to find a new EMT and pay more deductibles. I can look at the CAT scan myself on my PC and there is clearly red arrows all over the place pointing to issues in my sinus cavity, thankfully a new doctor can easily read the CD. It's pretty simple. This guy does not have a DICOM Medical Image Reader, but sends people for CAT scans with instructions to bring him the CD he won't read. Skip the frustration and find a more current doctor.
