After about a 10-15 minute wait I was called back into an exam room where I answered the questions by the nurse and then waited another 5-10 minutes to see Dr. Tisack. Once she came in, she listened to my description of the condition, examined my scalp, confirmed the condition, prescribed the medications needed, and had the prescriptions sent to my pharmacy for pickup. She asked me if I had anything else or any questions, I did not. Dr. Tisack has a pleasant and professional manner with patients and, in my somewhat limited experience, comes across as knowledgeable and confident.

Now it's a waitin game to see if the treatment works for her. The staff is courteous and very friendly. In fact I myself made an appt for next month for spot checks. Which I recommend people to do for safety if possible melanoma etc. The doctors are very professional and make u feel as comfortable as possible upon exams. After several calls to area (Royal Oak, Ferndale, Novi, Warren) dermatologists turned up nothing -- closed offices or no 'new patient appts' until July in some cases, I called Dr. Chiara's Milford office and they said he was in his Novi office that day. I made the appointment at 3:30, was arrived at 4:15 and was seen and on my way out the door by 4:45. That being said -- I wasn't rushed. I just didn't have to wait, he came in, talked with me at length, both about what was going on and some things that proved how well he knows his stuff and how long he has been doing this (30+ years). However, he seems to be completely up on new info and medicines. I'd highly recommend!

My husband has been a patient of Dr Chiara's for years. After several moves (further and further away from his main office in Milford) he/we are still coming to his practice for any skin concerns we may have. We love the Novi office because it is a lot closer to us than Milford, but we just as gladly drive the additional half hour. Heck, we'd drive to Grand Rapids if we had to. Setting up an appointment is easy, and they do their best to get you in as soon as possible. Talk to Oxana (the Dr's wife) or Lisa (she's awesome) and you will receive stellar service, because both are super friendly and professional. Dr Chiara himself is patient, sweet and wonderful. He will do anything to get you better, and genuinely cares about your progress and well-being in the process.

I visited this clinic seeking help for my son's skin condition. He had developed white patches on his face, which was very distressing for me. Dr. Ko handled the appointment and initially diagnosed him with Pityriasis Alba, prescribing a face wash and cream. We scheduled a follow-up, but during that visit, she changed her diagnosis to vitiligo. I asked how she could make such a diagnosis without performing any tests, such as a blood test or biopsy. She told me there were no tests necessary and that this was simply what it was. I left the appointment feeling very upset and unsure. Seeking a second opinion, I visited another doctor who performed a biopsy. The results confirmed it was not vitiligo. Today, I called the office at 5:08 PM to cancel a future appointment, but they were already closed--even though Google listed their closing time as 5:30 PM. It's disheartening to see doctors give inaccurate diagnoses and play with people's emotions. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Dr. Ko or this office to anyone.

I've never had a problem with other offices when I tell them I don't feel comfortable keeping my card on file. This young ignorant girl told me they can't see me then! I was there for a skin cancer check! How awful to tell someone you can't see them because once you hear their policy that they can charge up to $300 a month it's a load of crap!
