She was receptive and took time prior to the wedding date to get to know us, our vision, and showed up prepared and invested for our meetings and the day of the wedding. Small world. It broke the ice immediately, but even if it hadnt, Mike and Steven made everything super comfortable anyway. We met a couple times to discuss and it was always easy. They listened to what I wanted, dealt with my over organized personality with a smile, and understood us as a couple. Frankly, we were not conventional. The weirder or more unique something was, the better. From asking Steven to not wear black (which he didn't), playing uncommon ceremony songs to giving a sample playlist mainly consisting of reggae, Sound Explosions came through. They did exactly as we asked, and really allowed us to have a great party. Steven kept the party going, was lively, on time, and dressed to the nines. Several times I actually went to thank him for coming because he fit in as a guest so well. The mirror photo booth was a huge hit, and the staff even danced along all time. The next day when we went back to the venue, the staff told us we had the best wedding and that they were dancing to the music on the sidelines. He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! My event went off without a hitch and that would absolutely not have happened without Partners in Sound. Leading up to the event - Anthony met me at the space to do a walkthrough and gave me great pointers on set up and layout of the space. Anytime I had a question he was very easy to reach through call / email / text. Day of event - their team arrived on time and ready to go. Set up and break down of 40 large banquet tables, many bistro tables and chairs is never easy. They nailed it. They even had tech staff onsite throughout the entire event to monitor the sound and ensure that everything was running smoothly. Their prices are extremely fair. For an extra cost you can hire their team to fully assist in the set up and breakdown and it is completely worth the money.
