Today we just had our driveway done from Eddie squires paving. From start to finish it did not take long and the work was better than what I ever thought it could look like. And he was so polite and nice when he came out to look at the driveway gave us an estimate and he even did a little extra work that I did not expect and never charges any extra money which we are so grateful for. There are not enough stars to say how pleased we are with our new driveway. I contacted them through email and within a very, very short time I received a phone call to set up our first meeting. At the meeting we were given different options and quickly decided to remove our 34 year old driveway and go with new. The price given was quite a bit less than I thought it would be and the demo/install date was set. Eddie and crew showed up right on time with a convoy of trucks and got right to work. The whole crew never once stopped working until the job was 100% completed, working together as a well oiled machine. They also were done in about a third of the time I thought it would take. They arrived before dawn and were done before dinner...they dug out some of the island and left a circle for decorative purposes...they used the last of the macadam to patch our neighbor's driveway!!! These guys were awesome! Not only did they do excellent work, they have a great leader in Eddie. They did the entire job with a smile on their faces and in a timely manner. They added onto our driveway and repaired areas that needed some TLC. Then they prepared a foundation for my new shed and when the shed wasn't 100% level Eddie came back out to make sure that it was, on his own time. We hired Ed Squires to widen our driveway and to seal-cost the driveway. We interviewed 3 different contractors and chose Ed Squires. Mr. Squires did not provide a written estimate for the contracted work, but agreed to widen our driveway and to seal coat it later for $800. We paid Mr. Squires $800 on May 1, 2015. Soon thereafter, Ed Squires widened our driveway, but not enough to our satisfaction or expectation. Ed Squired argued the aesthetics of further widening, but eventually agreed to widen what we agreed was a sufficient amount on about June 19th. I have documentation of our texts going back and forth from May 29th. In these texts I am asking about widening and surface coating. We have sent at least 5 messages and called Ed Squires without any follow up. Today, Ed Squires called me back and said he is not going to widen my driveway for free, I advised him that we paid for this already, but he is refusing to finish the job that he began in May 2015. read more
