Horrible professionalism. They randomly put me on a schedule I can't do. They scheduled me without telling me a day in advance and I told them I can't make the shift on that day they themselves scheduled me and they want to charge me when I never scheduled myself on them day. Terrible professionalism. Terrible company. How do they schedule me on a day I can't make it and then force me to pay for the day I didn't schedule myself. Furthermore, when I would ask any questions they were absolutely lost and gave me nothing but an attitude like I'm the problem when it's their service rep who was completely lost. This school is a joke. I went to the Phillipsburg location to receive information for CDL training. The receptionist was on the phone for twenty minutes before helping me. Then she tells me about the different classes, payment amount etc. She explained to me there is a minimum of fours a day required five days a week, especially if going through One Stop. You will spend the first couple of weeks reading the book preparing for the written test. And if you had any question she would be at her desk. So I asked where would the instructor be, there is none for this part. So I asked if she Ivette had a CDL she said no. So are you going to answer my questions. Then I told her I wasn't sure which class I wanted. She stated you can take Class A and B for x amount of dollars. Lady do I look stupid to you. I would just take the Class A as a Class A could also drive a class B but not the other way around. This school is definitely shady, Sleazy wheels is more like. read more

I had a great experience with this driving school. First of all, the lady at their Union City office is very nice and very approachable. She helped me out booking a lesson even it was a last minute. I passed my road test at Wayne by the help of my instructor Marcelo. He will make you feel comfortable during your practice driving and won't let you feel nervous for the road test. Absolute joke of a company. DO NOT use them, they are the most unprofessional, incompetent driving school out there. They training equipment and buses, are garbage at best. Their instructors are not good and their training videos are even worse. Their DVD players and flat screens do not even work. Looks like they got them from a Salvation Army store. Their instructors will not even help you during the test day. The instructor I had just sat on his rear end the entire time and refused to answer my last minute questions. You have been warned. Ok so here's my story! I waited until the last minute to get a driving instructor and it was the stupidest decision I've made in a very long time! I called this school and was told that they had no openings. Got a call from Giovanna saying that she got me an instructor for a 2 hour training the day of my driving test!!! I was so happy and worry at the same time! Well I got the best of the best and I passed my test. Maria is very straight to the point and tells you what you need to hear! The first driver I had did not speak English very well. Sometimes he would say "No... bad!" but could not explain in English exactly WHAT I was doing wrong. I tried to understand his Spanish, but I could only make out a few words. In light of the language barrier, the school offered me a free one-hour lesson, which I very much appreciated. The following day, I had a ride with Rudy who he was unbelievable-- truly a compassionate instructor who is able to encourage the driver while offering useful tips and tricks along the way. If the review was based on Rudy alone, I would be giving this place 5 stars. If you want to learn how to drive, or just need a refresher course, I highly recommend you request Rudy-- I couldn't have asked for a better or nicer instructor. read more

Before I decided to get my CDL I have gone through a couple of driving school offices to see which ones will be able to give me a better rate and a better course. My friend recommended that I should go to ez wheels in union city. He was right.. they help you with very details of information and provides you with better time and days to study and to schedule your appointment. The rates are reliable. July 12 2017 You want to know how bad this school is. 15 of us went to take the test at motor vehicles to get our license Randolph New Jersey. 14 of us had to take the test from beginning to end. 1 of us had to take the road test for the third time. Every last one of us failed. None of us made it pass the pre trip inspection which is the very beginning of the test. And the 1 person that was taking the road test had the truck malfunction on him and they said it was his fault. Mostly everyone that failed the pre trip part was because they had training in it or because the truck couldnt be put into first gear with out the gears keep grinding because something was wrong with trucks and motor vehicles and school blamed the students. When you get to the yard. Everyday you get a diffrent trainer that does know what the last trainer has taught and gets more frustrated then you when you the one trying to learn how to drive the truck while the whole time they are just sitting there on their phone or constantly eating talking down you for not learning everything first time around. They dont teach u anything step by step ether or break anything down to for you to understand. If u accomplish anything at this school is basicly because you had taught yourself how to do it. Prime example is when i had to learn how to switch gears from high to low and from low to high. I always thought i had to wait intil i get to 1500 or higher rpms to switch my gears higher. I never understood why the gears kept grinding on me and why in wouldnt switch to the next gear on command. I would look at the trainer for guidance and ask him what i was doing wrong and all he would do is sit there and tell me he dont know and im not moving fast enough to switch the gears or im moving to fast to switch gears and go back on his phone or as some trainers do. Sit there with a attitude more frustrated then you. So i learned how to drive the trucks basicly using youtube vids and figuring out everything on my own. I learned that you need the rpms to just above 1000 to switch the gears perfectly smooth every time. Every when you go to motor vehicles. It seems like they are working with the school to keep the students back succeeding so everyone can come to the school and pay for more time just to not get anywhere. The weirdist thing that was happening when i was taking the test besides everyone failing was that as i was explaining everything to the examiner. He was just looking around and not paying attention to any thing i was doing as if he had aready made his mind up from the beginning. I nailed everything on test except for calling and expaining each and every gadge. He leaves and comes back with a paper saying i have failed everything dealing with the pre trip because i didnt give him enough infomation about each part i named out. When i did everything and said everything that was on the video. Here is the kicker. I asked him how did i fail the front of vehicle part when i checked leaks, then i checked the bumper, hood, side mirrors latched the hood, grill, widshild, wipers, inspection sticker, and top the truck and clearance lights. All he could say was i didnt give him enough information and i need to study chapter 11 more. I just said ok and thought to myself i had to pay $1500, wait 3 month before i could even start this lackluster training which i had to endure for 2 weeks just to come to this test and deal with a examiner that im pretty sure is being paid off by the school to fail everyone so they can get getting money out the students. And the pretrip test is totally diffrent from the one u see in the video they have you watch. In the video. You start off engine check, walk around the truck, in cab, and then the air brake and tug test. Actual test. Air brake test, in cab inspection, tug test, front of truck, engine and then walk around. But you wont know this intil you get to the actual test since the trainers are to busy playing on their cell phones, eating and being more frustrated then you to tell you and show u anything. Bottom line when every last one of your student show up to testing and fail. That saying something right there. Everything is in the recond books so its not like they can lie and say it never happen. How this school is still around is beyond me. This school got to be the biggest scam there is. If you looki g to get your class A license. Save your money and avoid this place at all cost. Firstly , i went through them through Unemployment. The only decent part was they had test available to get my written permit. As far as the driving part goes, avoid this place at all cost. These people rushed me through school, and used the money from the government to not prepare me properly. The lady knew i wasnt ready for a road test, but time and time again kept putting me in for a road test . After three failed road test i was told i would have to pay out of my own pocket. After wasting another thousand cash for classes, still couldn't get my CDL license. Looking back on my time trying to get my CDL i realized these people where running an illegal racket. Very Disappointed in this school . I choose this school with high expectations to be able get my license. Instructor was not paying attntion they were not teching step by step. They was talking on the phone most of the time. I failed by first road test. I resceduled it. I made another appointment with this school. I made a mistake on the road test date. I kindly asked them if they i can change the date. they said they cant. i asked them for a refund. $120 dollars wasted. They dont take refund and no service was provided. Very very rude mean staff. EZ Wheels was a Nightmare! Save your money and go to a more reputable school. After paying $300 for a forklifting certification, they scheduled my son for a day they knew he couldn't make. Then after I called they gave me a date, then called the next day twice with 2 different times in which one of them we took. Mind you we live 1 hour away. Got there the instructor wasn't there. One of the cdl guys called the Union Office 3 times to ask where the guy was. That office was very unprofessional and down right rude, even to their own coworker which was a Cdl instructor guy in the field that went out of his way to help us. Mind you they hung up on him, twice. The instructor Manuel was 35 minutes late and not at all engaging nor apologetic. The lesson was 2 hours of instruction. Manuel spent 1 hour and 30 minutes of those instruction minutes in his car instead of doing what he was paid to do which was Instruct! From reading other complaints, this is the same guy who brings his own black chair to sit in while he is suppose to be training. Sitting on the job is an understatement. I have never in my life experienced anything so unprofessional. They need to realize that we pay them for their service, they don't pay us for ours. The owner needs to know how much these people are undermining the company which is a representation of the EZ Wheels business and brand. The incompetence of their staff leads nothing to be desired. If they do not like their jobs then they shouldn't be there. I do not recommend this driving school. The office staff at Perth Amboy are very disrespectful and completely unwilling to work with customers. Every time I had a question or needed something, they would not answer me unless I came into the office which is an hour and a half drive for me. They couldn't even tell me my tainting schedule over the phone or email me a copy. The instructors were ok, one I had was a good instructor but could not speak good English so I had a hard time understanding him. The second instructor only had his CDL for 2 weeks prior to training me and spent most of his time on his phone. The Agusta, NJ yard was way too small. There were 3 students, including me, there to practice and I was put in the back of the building on an uneven, trash filled, gravel parking lot to do my backing maneuvers. The yard was too crowded so I was not able to do alley dock or parallel parking. All in all I was very unhappy with my experience, the only good thing they provided was a truck to take my test in. read more

My name is:Michael Shehata i attended EZ Wheels in Union City, NJ to prepare for my CDL license. I passed all my written exams and my pre-trip inspection flawlessly. The morning of my driving exam, Victor Martinez, the instructor that was sent by EZ Wheels, told me I would have to stop at a very specific spot while I was doing my driving test. However, when I began my driving test, the examiner, a girl working for the DMV by the name of Mariah, failed me for following the instructor's advice. While my girlfriend was outside, she overheard Victor mocking me and saying that I was going to fail. I drove the truck perfectly during my exam. When I confronted the examiner on why she failed me when I drove the truck perfectly, she said she failed me because I didn't listen to her and I stopped two inches incorrectly in the spot the instructor told me to stop... I had stopped EXACTLY where Victor told me to stop. However, I believe I was failed because she receives kickbacks from EZ Wheels for every person she fails and makes retake the exam. The school gets paid every time you have to take the exam, plus, the gap time in between the exams are so big, that the school encourages you to schedule 'practice time' so the information can stay fresh in your mind... and you have to pay for that 'practice time'. I called the instructor and Mariah out on their corruption. Victor and other school officials admitted they did know this particular dmv examiner very, very well for years now, even having her personal cell phone number. They told me to drop the issue and they would allow me to take the exam without paying. However, it's very, very obvious that Mariah is a rogue DMV examiner accepting payouts from the school. They have a corrupt system going where she fails people and forces them to pay to retake the exam. My girlfriend's sister is contacting the state attorney general, division of consumer affairs, the DMV and the federal department of transportation to report the corruption. They are now sending me to another testing site two hours away because they said the DMV examiner, Mariah, does not want to see me again. Their behavior is not only immoral, but it is illegal. Not only are they ripping people off, but they are causing a great inconvenience to people who take time out of their busy schedules to take these exams. read more

Hi, Please do not waste your precious time and money with this company. I am very very disappointed with this company. I was assigned 3'O clock for driving lessons. My instructor name was Mossou. He is a thin, short, old skiny guy with no smile on his face. He came late by 10 mins. This is fine - not a big deal - totally understandable. He asked me to sit at the drivers seat and I was very excited by that. However, He was little abrupt and kinda rude with speech but I tried to be as much good as possible. After I sat, he asked me to put the left signal on and take a K-turn. What???? He didnt explain me anything at all. I repeat - HE DIDN'T EXPLAIN ME ANYTHING AT ALL. He didn't explain any basics. Since I was unable to take the K-turn, he told me that I have no knowledge of driving. REALLY???? Yes, I have dont have much knowledge of driving. That's the reason I am taking classes and you being the instructor, its your job to teach me, isn't it? After not being able to take the K-turn, he suddenly that said he will have to postponed my classes as he wants to go home. Another BIG disappointment. Then why I had been given the appointment for 3pm at the first place. He gave me my money back and asked me to reschedule the appointment. I called the company and explained the whole scenario. Paid $75 to learn how to parallel park and I spent more time driving to Passaic (40 minutes away from my town) than learning how to park. I've had my permit for two years and I only needed to learn how to park. Instead, she made me drive below the speed limit on both the city streets and the highway and then got mad at me when I was trying to drive the speed limit. She told me I shouldn't worry about other cars while I drive :/. I don't know why I had to drive all the way to Passaic to learn how to park. When we got there, I spent more time on K turns than parallel parking. When she taught me how to parallel park, she told me not to brake. Either she was braking or I was hitting the curb, but she wouldn't let me brake when I was backing up. Once I hit the curb, she let me finish parking but kept telling me to look behind and look in the mirror. She didn't tell me what I was looking for, but she got mad at me if I wasn't dramatically shifting my vision back and forth. I parallel parked like five times and she got mad at me for not already knowing how to park. Then she got mad at me for wasting time even though she showed up late and made me drive 40 minutes on the highway to a town I've never been in. Luckily my test is in three weeks so I have time to find an instructor who can actually teach me how to parallel park. read more

Today was my boyfriend's truck driving test at motor vehicles. His driving instructor Victor was the most UNPROFESSIONAL instructor. I was so shocked at his lack of professionalism. He was standing on the side lines talking so badly about my boyfriend to a crowd of people while my boyfriend was taking his exam. Victor didn't realize I was the girlfriend of the driver taking the test. He kept talking so badly and making fun of my boyfriend. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Also, it appeared that Victor seemed happy that my boyfriend failed because it was going to be an additional $300 that the school would make. In fact that's all Victor kept talking about. I wish my boyfriend went to IDEAL driving school. That is where my brothers and father went. They all had a really good experience with Ideal driving school. DO NOT waste your money on EZ Wheels. I was so disappointed with this school, my fiance was so eager to get his forklift license last year, so we did or research and or closest and most convenient location was ezwheels. So I accompanied my fiance, the ladies at the counter were pleasant they even offered me some coffee they had purchased etc. So my fiance finally finished; I believe he was there for maybe about an hour or so he watched videos, those videos that he watched there he previously had seen on YouTube, regardless they did not allow my fiance to watch any more videos since he only made a payment of one hundred and fifty dollars, he needed to pay the rest to continue to watch training and safety videos that remained and to go practice at the yard they have in Secaucus, well my fiance paid the rest in a couple of days he came back and they ladies weren't organized to enough to give him the correct video that followed instead he had to come back up and say I watched this video already, very unprofessional of a school. So when it came time for my fiance to practice and meet his instructor, the instructor was waiting in his kia car mindless to say there is no office at the yard so we had to stand and wait till the instructor felt like coming out of his car...anyways, after an hour of waiting I needed to use the rest room and as I proceeded to where they were the instructor was on a chair/stool on his cellphone constantly not paying attention what my boyfriend was doing, how rude! My fiance said he was very impatient, unorganized, unprofessional, and dishonest. He promised to give my boyfriend his license, two weeks passed and ezwheels did not contact us so we called and the lady was very rude on the phone with my fiance she said that "the course is very easy and that anyone can pass it" also they were annoyed that my boyfriend didn't have a drivers license, I ask myself why didn't they explain all of this from the beginning, the lady insinuated my boyfriend was stupid or something with those responses and opinions of hers', the only good thing was that they refunded his money. read more

i give this school 2 stars and this is being nice. i went to this school to get my husband a gift certificate so that he can obtain his cdl a license. at first the staff seems very nice and friendly but all that goes out the door after you start realizing that nobody knows anything, everyone gives you a different answer about the classes, process, laws, etc. they keep asking you for the same documentation because they always misplace it. on top of the whole messy process with them before the road test. on the day of the road test, my husband missed the test because the driver of the school took him to the wrong address. that was unbelievable! and unacceptable! after he was ready to take the test. took the day off from work and provided the school with the correct address prior to the test date. they are so unprofessional and always full of excuses. i would not recommend this school to anybody. i feel bad he had to go through that. i wish i had known before choosing this place for the classes. read more

Very very disappointed with this school. I saw the ratings were low, but called anyway because of the pricing. At first I had a complication with one of the girls going back and forth with me arguing, (too long to go into right now as to the reason). But I ended up speaking with the lady in charge I guess Maria or Carmen who gave me all the info I needed. So I did what I had to do and came back to make an appointment with my son... The first time, the driver was not time - but not extremely late either. She was very nice and I understood why maybe a few minutes late, as the student with the prior lesson is the one doing the pick up... Fine, I just recently set another appointment for today in the morning.. The rep from the school calls me yesterday and leaves a message in spanish.. Totally unprofessional. I am hispanic with a hispanic last name. However, I am not fluent in spanish at all and started to disregard the call all together. I only called back, because the number called me again. I explained why did they leave message and spanish and thet advised the appointment had to be set until 3-5 bevause they were short an instructor. Again, I would not have known this had I not called back, and didnt ignore their message. Fine, left the time as is, didnt see a problem. Today my son also had an appointment for college testing, that I thought was for 1:30 and it was actually later (around the new time change) and when I call I am being told I will charged a 40.00 cancellation fee on top of 70.00 driving for 2 hours. I was never informed this and I was rescheduling, not cancelling. Not the proper way to do business. FYI to the owners a more fair way for rescheduling would be to charge the 70.00 fee up front at that point amd advise if the appointment is not honored then a fee will be assessed. Also, have your reps leave messages in English which is the commons sense thing to do. read more
