It is convenient to access and has plenty of surrounding shops and eateries. This bus terminal services those passengers who need buses to Southern, Eastern and Western (Indooroopilly, Kenmore coridor) areas of Brisbane I used to use this bus a fair bit when I used to go to QUT Gardens Point and I've always thought this station seemed a bit unique. Compared to other big bus terminals where there are several rows or platforms to wait on, this terminal runs along a corridor with doors opening up to the buses that stop by. In some ways it is convenient, but it can also get extremely crowded and hot down there. Too many people combined with little space to move about makes me feel a little cluster-phobic despite the aircon that they apparently have running down there. This bus terminal is decent enough and has information machines to help you calculate the best bus routes in case you are lost. They are touch screen, so be patient as it can be a little slow and frustrating.

It's a workers pub really with a couple of well sized out door areas. The plus was free pool from 2-4 on a Sunday. Our other pleasant surprise was our bowl of chips. Dusted with herbs & chicken salt they were great with the aioli. I do have to say I love that they serve Somersby cider as its one of my favorites. All in all, not bad for a quick drink, but at the end of the day it is just another pub in the vein of leagues clubs et al.

I stayed at other Meriton properties after Brisbane where the car parks were comparatively palatial and gargantuan. My traveling party decided to go to another hotel. I went to reception and the reception agent said that since I showed up I wouldn't be charged for the one night and not to worry about it. Now, let's be clear, I get hotel cancellation policies, and I was willing to eat one night's worth of cost, but I was told at reception I wouldn't be charged. To my surprise I was charged. I emailed Meriton and the management at Brisbane advised that I "misheard" what the reception staff person said (let's be honest, this is code for they think I am a liar), and would not refund the one night charge, and hoped that their email would "clarify the misunderstanding". It didn't. The rooms might be nice, but the staff and the car park are not worth the hassle, which is a shame because the other two Meriton properties I stayed at were great.

It's the tallest building in Brisbane, and if you're lucky enough to get one of the top floors, you'll have spectacular views of the City. This hotel is in a great location, just steps from the river walk where you can check out some of the near by water-front restaurants, or take the FREE CITY HOPPER boat to other parts of downtown. CITY HOPPER. Looking to save a little bit on getting around? I highly recommend the FREE City Hopper boat. You can also walk to the Queen Street Mall and Streets Beach within 20 minutes. The hotel has spacious suites, with sweeping views of the city. We had a room with a kitchenette and a separate washer and dryer. (Funny, I found most Australians seem to just hang their laundry outside to dry). There is an indoor swimming pool and work out room on property. Both seem to be in good condition. If you're going to the hotel from the airport, one option is the AirTrain, but know it'll be a few minute walk from the station to the hotel while hauling your luggage. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I can not recommend this hotel enough!
