Walking into the already friendly atmosphere, I am always greeted by the workers everytime I checked in (using the tv looking screen). The wait time is never over 10 minutes! I didnt get braces from them, but was fitted for retainers because I misplaced my other ones about a week earlier. They gave me a "menu" of flavors to pick from for the taste of the mold. I never had my previous dentists give me a choice... Pina Colada! The impressions took around 5 minutes to make. I left around noon and returned later, but in the mean time I went to Blondie's Expresso down the street and picked up a pina colada milk shake! In a nutshell I made an appointment, got my impressions made, and picked my retainers up all in the same day. Such fast and diligent service! When I walked up to the counter to pay, I asked if they could hold my check for a couple days because the money didnt transfer to my account quite yet. They let me take my retainers home and I paid them two days later without a call questioning me or asking when I was going to pay. Im glad they trust their patient's intergrity!

We are really good about getting in every six months for cleanings, so we see them at least twice a year. I had an emergency procedure done at one point and most recently a couple of poorly seated crowns replaced. Dr. P and his staff are so polite, gentle and patient! During the procedure, I had an asthma attack that scared me a bit, but they were super fast to take care of me, grabbing my inhaler out of my purse and gave me some time to recouperate before getting after it again. They do their best to make an uncomfortable experience as pleasant as possible... Netflix, Hulu, Disney+... heated massage chairs... weighted blankets... it's pretty darn comfortable! Brenna has been my hygienist this year and I wouldn't trade her!! She's ridiculously sweet and so very gentle! Before you know it, you're done and ready to go! When we booked appointments for next summer, I reiterated to her that I wanted to be with her. I'm big on the relationships built with my healthcare providers. I know some don't care, my husband is good with anyone in the office and in reality, I'm okay with it too; but I really like having someone to look forward to seeing every six months!

After meeting Dr Dorman I will only ever see him for dental care, ever again. I've found the best dentist in Alaska so why go anywhere else ever again! After my year plus dental care experience with Dr Dorman was completed I convinced my Mother to see Dr Dorman too. My Mom was very apprehensive as she had a previous very negative experience with a dentist that would not listen and even when I went with her to speak for her the dentist did not listen or care she was in pain or that her dentures did not fit right. So she was apprehensive of Dr Dorman until she actually met him. He noticed her fear and deftly reassured and made sure she was comfortable speaking up about what was not right with her teeth. Dr Dorman proceeded to fix her old dentures so that when we left my Mom was actually amazed and glowing. The relief of having properly fitted dentures changed her whole outlook on food, on wearing her dentures, on dental care and dentists as a whole. My very quiet Mom talked and talked about what an amazing person and dentist Dr Dorman was and how great her mouth felt to finally be comfortable and pain free. Dr Dorman treated my Mom with respect and he LISTENED and made sure she left with very comfortable dentures and a happy pain free mouth. Dr Dorman also treated my sister with Down's Syndrome which is a challenge on a good day. She didn't even bite him so they both got something out of the visit! Shortly thereafter Dr. Hyer retired. In the year and a half since then they have not hired a practitioner who is able to perform the surgery. Despite repeated attempts to receive a refund I am told various reasons why they just can't get around to it. For example the office manager is not authorized, or the owner has to approve it, or they have to check the records, etc. This is been going on for months. In my opinion it is unethical and unprofessional to take a patients money for a particular service, then fail to provide the service, and then fail to address the return of the deposit.
