Lots of polarization, lots of flagged reviews, it's the wild-wild west out there. I main reasons I decided to check out midtown: - Close to my job (can walk from work) - Accepted by my insurance Another, dumb, reason: it's a pretty cool, modern-looking building. I came here after I experienced hard-selling and fear-mongering tactics at another Dentist. I wanted to get a second opinion. Boy, am I glad I did. Staff here are friendly and professional. Appointments are timely. The lobby is beautiful. You can choose your own music or watch Netflix while you get drilled/scrapped/polished. I had Dr. Adam Jensen for my dentist, he was great. He had a data-driven yet practical approach. I wish I knew he was a peak bagger (just found it out by creeping the website), we'll have so much more to talk about next time!

I've now been here for two cleanings and have been attended to by the same hygienist, who is very thorough. You know you got a good cleaning when you leave with some pain (good pain)! Except on my last visit, she nearly chipped my tooth by pulling out the reflection mirror too quickly (bad pain). I'll be back, mainly because I don't feel like searching for yet another new dentist and also because I do feel like they are honest. I liked that he was even more into the mountains than I was, and that he also knew what he was doing but, even more importantly: was a good communicator. Adam is great at explaining the science and theory behind everything going on with your teeth, and will tell you how much you can expect to pay out of pocket, and even if you should or should not get a procedure. There are no obnoxious scare-tactics or hard-sells here! (a reason I've left dentists in the past) It had been 5 years since I had had a dental visit. And, rather than guilt-trip me, Adam used a data-driven approach based on x-rays and inspection (rather than heresay as at some other Dentists in town) to decide what I needed to make up for this lapse. I needed some pretty extensive scraping, but they helped me break it down into parts. That was super odd especially for a first time patient. I have pretty good teeth and not many concerns but he spent the least amount of time with me. The hygienist Holly is kinda young and quite the chatterbox. I'm not sure she took many breaths. I've never had anyone take 1 full hour to clean my teeth. As you can see I have pretty good teeth. I think if she didn't talk as much it would've been faster. This was a full 2 hour appointment. Even getting a root canal I've never been at a dentist for 2 hours. They "offer" fancy stuff like paraffin Wax, hot wraps, movie glasses. But I say offer lightly. I was offered the hot wrap but nothing else. The massage chair is just an uncomfortable vibration. No thanks. All that has to be paid for somehow. Their prices make getting necessary work done impossible from a cost perspective even with insurance. They're super out of the way too. Due to unfortunate events, I have had to get several of my teeth replaced with implants. For me, the procedures feel really grueling and I'm super anxiety ridden the whole time. Through all the appointments, the Doc is always right there making small talk and telling jokes to ease my mood. He's always checking in and making sure I'm completely comfortable. I have tried other dental clinics and the native hospital, I've always come back simply because they make me feel comfortable, safe, and welcomed here.
