Due to the soil in our yard, an above ground pool was the best choice, while we have an in ground pool at our second home. We recently discovered a hole in the liner which was not able to be patched. My first call was to Clearwater Pool & Spa. Owners, Mike and Becky, gave me the contact information for Mike McCowan. Two days later, a new liner was installed. McCowan & crew arrived on time, was ready to get to work & kept me informed about the different stages of installation. I was fighting Covid, so we talked/texted on the phone. McCowan sent me pictures, receipts for parts & the job of replacing the liner & refilling the pool took 2 days even though temperatures were 100+ degrees. To sum it up, Clearwater Pool & Spa use expert contractors, knowledgeable employees in the retail store & a large inventory of chemicals, accessories & everything else needed for your backyard oasis.

I should have told them to get lost when they showed up at my property to look at job and one of the owners helpers noticed a crack in a window damaged by my mower and tells me they can get that covered under hail claim to which is said no. One of the owners tells me when I complained about some of the stuff they did that we were family and i guess I should just let it slide has a roof leak at an addition on back of house called to ask about warranty talked to Jack about it got no response back. First, Armando and Michelle are excellent people to work with, and, I think above all, genuine - they don't put on any sort of commercialized song and dance, instead they show up and tell you what they think needs to be done, and then offer you a great price to do it (we are talking half the price of the commercialized folks, in total they were the lowest out of 4 bids). And to be completely honest: Yes there are some times when they are a bit optimistic about timing (and yes they like to take the weekend off, like normal human beings) and yes, if they discover something wrong along the way (like a rotted beam) they will have to adjust the price - but I did not deduct a star from their rating because this is the world of contracting, not starbucks, and they must be rightfully compared to their peers. TERRIBLE. Do not use this company. Yes, the price seems good, but it's not worth it. So many times…read moremy husband called and emailed them and they wouldn't answer (after we left a deposit). They eventually came and dig out the hole for our septic, we connected everything.... and they NEVER came back to cover up the hole. (Even though it was included in the thousands of dollars we paid them). We've called and emailed them to come cover up the hole and they will not respond. They are scammers. ZERO STARS.
