I have been a patient here for 5 years. I have very good family health history and am personally in…read morevery good health. I am on no other medications. I have been taking hormones to manage menopause for years. I have personal trauma that is related to mammograms. However, I have for years done every test they told me to do. The last doctor I saw there last year Dr Haag was great. She understood that at 50 years old I should have some say in my health care and told me just call in for a phone consult when I needed my prescription renewed. I did that last week and they told me she was no long there and I would be required to come in. I explained I was going to run out of pills and asked to get a week or two (again we are not talking barbiturates or some Controlled substance but birth control) I was told someone would call me back. No call. The day of the appointment I waited an hour to speak to people for 8 minutes (this is very common at the clinic) I was then told even though the last doctor said I didn't need it, they would not renew my prescription for even a few days until I got a mammogram. They take weeks or months to schedule here. They had lost also at least two tests I had had at that office. These people are willing to throw my body into menopause and yank me off hormones because they are arrogant and cannot take the time to treat you as an individual. I practically begged for a prescription to get to the mammogram appointment and She just smiled and kept repeating "standard of care" which means every one is just in a box and individuals don't count. It was as if she enjoyed causing me the harm that is going to come from abruptly from something that has worked so well. And all of this was because of bad information their last doctor gave me. Her answer to that was "she is no longer here". Not even "I am sorry but she gave you bad information. L This woman and the clinic staff are just cruel.

We moved to Ouray in 2018 & could not find a physician to take my husband's Medicare within a 30…read moremile radius except MOUNTAIN MEDICAL. I could have gone to other local clinincs but wanted to go to the same physician as my husband. We see Angela Miller & have had terrific service. She has a wide range of experience & handles most all of our health needs. They helped us get my husband into the only Cardiologist in Montrose. When I broke my arm, they saw me right away & were able to do the x-rays there. After the radiologist The fees are very reasonable compared to big city clinics. My 90 year old dad fell while visiting & the also got him right in. His x-ray showed a crack & they put him in a boot that day. It was so much easier than taking him to a physician in Houston. Since my husband is a retired medical professional, we use his professional expertise in evaluating the service of physicians & clinics. Angela Miller is terrific as are all the people we've met at MOUNTAIN MEDICAL like Jodie & others. I saw a complaint on another review about being sent to Montrose. My friend's husband fell while hiking & instead of a simple x-ray on arm or foot like my dad's & mine, he needed a special x-ray for his back & had to go to Montrose. MOUNTAIN MEDICAL is for regular preventative & emergent care but it is not a trauma center. You have to go to an emergency room at hospital for some care. If the staff at MOUNTAIN MEDICAL thought a child or adult needed more care than they could give, I see nothing wrong with sending the patient to Montrose. I also saw a complaint about prescriptive sleep aids. Since my husband's office had to prescribe Class 2 Narcotics & the addictive Benzodiazapams, they were scrupulously careful about refills. Every refill has to be evaluated by medical necessity; the staff has no choice but to inquire if the reason for the prescription still exists. The DEA & the state have strict regulations about substances considered addictive. I understand that sometimes the insurance of a patient will NOT allow a refill before the 1st day of the next month & providers are forced to go by all regulations which have tightened in the last years. If I thought the professionals at MOUTAIN MEDICAL weren't doing a good job of keeping me in my needed medicines, I would be willing to drive the 60 mile round trip to Montrose to get care instead of griping. The physicians & practice can be sued by patient families & have their licenses pulled if they are not following the latest anti-addictive regulations by Colorado, the DEA & the Federal Government. I know it is a hassle; even those with broken ribs or chronic conditions have to get re-certified for refills of addicted substances. That is not the fault of the dedicated professionals of MOUNTAIN MEDICAL. I am so pleased with the care we've received for our whole family the last 2 years. They care about the patients & the community. We are so blessed to have them in Ouray County. I hope the voters realize this & vote to restore the tiny bit of funding they get from the county to keep the clinic open & keep us from having to drive to Montrose for EVERYTHING instead of just Cardiologists & Pulmonologists.

The ER I had to go to twice in 3 years was so accommodating and quick. The clinic OMGoodness was the BEST. They made me feel so comfortable in why I was seeing them. Medical records are FAST, most places take forever and these guys do it right then and there. I am proud I live in Pagosa and have this hospital close. If I lived in Durango I would drive to Pagosa just so I don't have Mercy to deal with. Those people don't got it together and is the dirtiest hospital I have ever been too. Thank you PSMC

Wow, 4 days before this initial visit, my boyfriend came to the emergency room. Because he had a terrible cold. And he had been coughing very tremendously, he had an X-ray, and they didn't see anything. So 5 days past and we brought him back, they did a Ct. Scan and found out he had a broken rib. The staff was very accommodating are Dr was Daniel Renner and staff and the next day, his mom came in for Vertigo. She was very dizzy and very sick. And the staff was very accommodating, very sweet. Once when I said out loud in my kitchen that no one wished me happy birthday, 5 minutes later my therapist Vanesss S texts me, "Happy Birthday". No smiley face, no ballons not even an exclamation point. I wasn't even talking about Axis health when I said it, I was talking about my family! Every single time my therapist Vanassa would show up so would Ali S and she would park below my back window near Marlis' apartment. Then when my therapist would leave Ali would leave soon after and this happened dozens of times, too many to brush them off as coincidences. Everytime I say I'm going to lay down or go watch a movie I can hear Marlis run out the back door, gets in her vehicle and then she gets on her computer. I have watched her from my windows HUNDREDS of times. After this my phone or TV will start slowing down and acting funny, I keep getting hacked out of everything. I've been constantly hacked and surveillanced in my own home by these people! They are violating so many laws and i wonder how many people they've driven over the edge with this stalking behavior! This is very unethical, a violation of my human rights and violation of privacy laws. How many victims are they doing this to? Have any unaided themselves because of it? Because I tried more than once! I want to be left alone by these people. They have made me sicker than I've ever been in my life. Since seeing Axis and being with the Act team I think 4 years now I have retreated into my apartment and haven't left at all since Nov 2024. Constant surveillance causes trauma!
