I'm a disabled vet and I mail all my bills out on the on or before the first. I get a letter from best Self Storage storage with my check returned to me. They stated that my bill was 1 day late and they don't accept partial payments. ( the only reason it was not the full amount was they attached late fees) the check should have arrived days before the bill was do. I was told they could not accept my checks anymore. I asked if there was a way to pay online which they denied there was. So I sent the amount they asked me to in a money order. They send it back saying now I owed more because of additional fees they added on and could not accept a partial payment. This happened again and again. They cut my lock off and videoed the contents advertising it for action. I ended up paying over 600$ because they claimed my payment was late and kept sending be back my money after sending what they said to the same day. Then when I owe nothing on the storage and I'm letting it go they give me a hard time because I could not grab everything and I told them I was willing to relinquish ownership so they could auction it off without going through all the legal crap. I didn't owe any money and I was payed up for another week. I could have been a jerk and just left it there. Another thing after the incident with them claiming I was one day late and it ended up costing me 600$ I paid extra to have money on my account just in case. They kept getting after me for having extra on my account to prevent them from screwing me again. I would avoid these guys especially if your moving out of town and won't be able to pay in person. If you do go with them and your local keep your receipt. The storage unit itself I had no issue with.

We were skeptical hiring All My Sons after reading a few reviews, but we didn't have a nightmare…read moreexperience, although they have room for improvement. Customer service on the phone is good, the movers did a great job. We hired them to only move our heaviest items and we were impressed with the care and hard work they had in moving our items. There were no excessive breaks while on the clock either. Our pickup date was one day and the delivery day was the next day and both days they were late. 30 minutes the first day and 2 hours the next. I wasn't impressed with the ipad signature, I couldn't see what I was signing. Because they had to hold our stuff overnight, the software had trouble with our billing and we ended up getting double billed for the delivery but they took care of that right away and issued credit no problems. One of our tv's did get damaged and the filing a claim process is just stupid. You have to provide pictures, sign a claim form and have it notarized, and write a statement. Instead of just sending someone out to take pics and document the damage, they make it difficult for the customer so they hope you just throw your hands up and don't go through with the claim. We haven't submitted ours yet, so don't know the outcome. Overall, I've heard some horrible stories about moving companies, and we were concerned, but I think we would hire them again. The guys really worked hard and were friendly. We had 2 different crews on pickup and delivery and both crews consisted of professional and friendly employees. Update on the claim: they approved to reimburse $200 for our tv, have to get yet another sheet notarized, then they will issue a check.

They didn't wrap some ceramic bowls to protect them, just put them in a box. Luckily they didn't break. A Roku TV and Firestick didn't get into my home. I informed them from the beginning that I had a washer and dryer. They could have told me immediately over the phone that they won't unhook, move and rehook them. Do yourself a favor and look for another company for your move.
