He never checked my sinuses and looked in my ears for a second if that long. My hearing is affected at times because of my issues. He told me there was nothing wrong and I needed hear aids. I have a serious sinus infection going on right now! I don't care if I need hearing aids, that's not the problem. The problem is he didn't even care to try to see if i had any issues, which I do. I am older and he just tried to sell me hearing aids. There is no way he made a correct diagnosis without checking me out for underlying issues. Terrible experience.

I started seeing Mr. Shea jr and my insurance paid 100% BCBS. They did have a little trouble getting their money but they DID get it. It's time to now replace them with another set of 7000$ aids. And they informed me that because BCBS was hard to get along with I would have to pay for them up front and be reimbursed by BCBS. I asked , did you get your money for my last set and was told yes. I then said that you(Shea hearing center) just lost me and 7000$ just walked out of your practice. Why? Because there is no way I can pay for them up front. I drive 2 hours just to see these guys while their are people here I could see. Why? Because for the most part I liked them. I've now made an appointment at ENT in Tupelo next month and they DO FILE my BCBS insurance and they WILL PUT 7000$ into their account and I won't have to drive to Memphis anymore. I'm sorry that they did this.

I found an ENT clinic that takes NEW patients SAME DAY, quite a rarity for a specialtist. Check in…read morewas standard: sign in, pay co-pay, have a seat and the staff was fine. My appointment was in the afternoon, and I had to wait over an hour until I was seen. I didn't complain because I was glad to get in, but set and morning appointments may be better as far as time goes. I was sent to a patient room where the doctor was waiting and ready. The receptionist told me his name but it was my very first time meeting him, and the doctor didn't introduce himself. Although I had an idea of what he was going to do (cauterize my capillaries), there was little preliminary and I would've appreciated if he thoroughly explained before he started instead of me having to ask as he was going along. Since I knew generally what cauterizing entailed, I didn't see reason to panic as this wasn't a major procedure. Overall, it went well and he did a good job. I just wish the step by step was presented before even starting, not as we went.
