Stopped in to pick up some mulch. Parked along side of the loading zone to "LOAD" the mulch. Walked inside to pay for the mulch. Walked back outside to our truck load the mulch and was approached by an angry employee that said don't block the loading zone and told my husband to show some respect and consideration for others that need to use the loading zone. Not sure why this clown named Sean went off on my husband. Needless to say we will never patronize this business again. read more

A really good place focused on plants. I was specifically looking for bonzai tree potting mix and started off at a big box store, thinking they'd have a better selection. The reality is that Earl May's inventory may not be as massive, but it goes much deeper. They had exactly what I needed, and I found it quickly. And while eating popcorn! I spent twice as much time in the box store before realizing they didn't have what I needed. Lesson learned. read more

I mostly go to the store on O street but I've stopped in here a couple times to talk to their orchid specialist and they've been very helpful. The store itself has a wide range of plants, pots, and all the necessities for plant and garden care. The individuals working there have a wide range of knowledge and have been very helpful with anything I've needed. I had to repot my orchid for the first time and someone who knows a ton about orchid care took the time to walk me through the process and only charged me the cost of the potting soil. Great customer service here and all of their generous sharing of information has been invaluable to aid me with my less than stellar plant skills. read more

Went into buy a Guinea pig for my nieces' 6th birthday, a Peruvian Guinea pig so they're rare and hard to find. I paid for everything up front, cage food and pig, went in there the next week to pick everything up (that I already paid for) and found that my cage and Peruvian Guinea were both SOLD to someone else! Be aware, they will sell what you've already bought. read more

Came here after a bad experience at Campbell's nursery. I was making a terrarium for a gift. They were incredibly cheerful and helpful. They also had a much larger, wonderful selection and even had a section dedicated to terrariums. read more
