Facts: * Hospital notified us of an elderly family member being discharged from the trauma unit. * Contacted insurance and verified transportation coverage would be covered from hospital to rehab / care facility. * While working on roof ( construction services ) received a text invoice regarding a credit card payment from unknown vendor ( RJL Non-Emergency Medical Transportation ). * No contact prior to transportation. * No agreement, contract, etc... between client / family member, etc... prior to transport. Please reference the owners response below. Notes they do not have any contract with the clients NOR are they contracted with the Hospital ( BE CAREFUL ). Also talked with the Director of the Hospital regarding this situation. * No verification or provision of insurance coverage for client during transportation ( prior or post transportation ) * Private transporter even attempted to obtain payment via credit card from our elderly family member coming out of the trauma unit!!! * Hospitals don't allow patients to keep wallets or credits at the hospital. I believe this is a BASIC standards of practice inwhich a 3rd party medical transporter should be aware and mindful of. * Hospital verified private transportation was used ( after the fact ). NO agreement, contract, etc... with the transportation service was ever provided. Medical INSURANCE coverage does NOT include "private 3rd Non-Emergency Medical Transportation." Bottom line professional and personal option: We need to rise the bar within care, customer service and communication. With NO prior communication, agreements, contracts, etc... NO provision or disclaimer regarding insurance coverage during transportation, etc... BE CAREFUL!!! Too many are taking advantage of kind hard working families, our elderly, etc... Question: Would you transport an elderly loved one coming out of a trauma unit in a private 3rd Non-Emergency Medical Transportation service and motorized vehicle without: agreement, contract, provision of transportation insurance, etc... ? They must have contracted to your company. Saferide gave me a text confirming my ride. Was told he was circling the complex in a white car. The car arrived 45 minutes late. The drive gave me his name of something like Gandhi, first or last name? He was not speaking good English, and said he was picking up someone else? Yet, he was right at my door. He drove away and the trip was canceled. He made me miss an important doctor visit. When I called Saferide they told me the driver's name. He gave me his name, but said he had another rider to make. Said look for another car was coming to get me. That didn't happen! The drive lied to me when he add someone else was assigned to me. Now Saferide is using your company tomorrow, August 28 to take ne to the doctor. This ride has been confirmed via text, just as the one this driver refused to pick me up when I got in the car. This driver was useless and I can only hope he isn't assigned to me tomorrow. I don't know how you hire thee people, but....This was not even a one star. I have more rides schedule next week. Hopefully, Saferide will assign this to another carrier. Several good reviews, but you hired a person not competent.

You cant be the most 4th largest transport in Oahu. Medical Insurance will pay out only if the patient is taken of and needs are met. We called for several times over 50 calls and still no answer. I would like someone to contact me about this situation. I'm pissed because now we would need to reschedule this whole day to fit another day. Update: after flooding their voicemail. I finally got someone. They told me that now they dont operate on Saturdays. Also, they told me someone is always on the phone to answer which I still got their voicemail is full.
