a plate of bread and a bowl of dip

The food was okay. Had the lettuce wraps & spinach dip which was certainly not the best. It came with a lot of bread though. Patio was pretty packed too. Service was great!

Earls is one of my fav Canadian restaurant chains. Consistent food. Friendly service. Menu has great variety from apps to salads to sandwiches to stir fry to pizza to entree such as steak. Large wine and beer selection. Great place for family and friends. Overall this location is smaller than others but has a bar side and patio outside. If you enjoy Earls and restaurant with very good food can't beat it.

Delicious Jeera Chicken Curry on rice w naan bread. I enjoyed the MILD dinner with plenty of flavour. Food was delivered hot. My friend liked the Santa Fe Chicken salad tho she commented that it was dry this time. Nice evening to relax on the outdoor patio (tho we listened to 2 sets of emergency vehicles scream by on 16th Ave). Not rushed to order or leave. Yes a fine layer of dust on the tables cuz it's next to such a busy intersection. Good service. Parking is always a challenge here.

Went for brunch happy hour with my girlfriends at the 16th Ave location and to our surprise it really was $8 for all brunch mains. It really was a steal! I had the Chorizo + Mushroom hash and the Chocolate Banana Cream Waffle to share. The chorizo + mushroom came with two eggs that were cooked perfectly to a soft boil. The hollandaise sauce seems to be lacking a pinch of salt and I had some pieces of the avocados had gone bad. My friends didn't have the same issue with the avocados so maybe I was just unlucky. Overall, for me the lack of salt in the eggs balanced well with the saltiness from the chorizo however I do tend to eat less salt these days. The chocolate banana cream waffles were so delicious! It was the highlight of my brunch. I usually have issues with the level of sweetness. But these were Aaaa-MaZing! I will definite be coming back to try the rest of their brunch menu.

I have attended most of Earl's locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The 16th Ave location fits in well. Well decorated, very good service and yummy food. Parking can be a little weird, but typically it's fine, especially once you get the hang of how this location's setup. My biggest point of confusion with Earl's in general remains a lacking support for Gluten-free options. They do have SOME basic accommodation. I wish they had GF buns at least for their burgers, but not so. My wife and I both have developed Gluten issues and our needs often dictate where the group goes, so good GF options can kind of have a large impact. Anyways, Earl's handles us well enough.

Trendy. Lounge and restaurant are open together. They have a large and nice patio. Upscale Decore Inside. Bright and airy windows. A seniors crowd during lunch. Parking stalls are tight so leave your Escalade at home. Clam chowder was WOW good! The chowder was Full of a variety of items yet still chowder taste with clams. Burger is good too. The blackened chicken salad could have used less lettuce an a few more assorted veggies. Music wasn't too loud. Daily drink specials.

Still basically a Denny's with a longer wine list -- not necessarily better, just longer. And Denny's has better servers.

We were greeted by a group of bartenders (who all happened to be wearing toques) when we walked in, and I felt both welcomed and slightly out of place (no toque). The cocktails were meticulously crafted--priced at $15-20 a drink, it's on par with bigger cities like Vancouver and Toronto, but they also live up to the standard. Honestly, the highlight of our visit to Missy's was the Missy's This That charcuterie board. Each piece of cured meat was sliced impossibly thin, the olives were meaty and delicious, and the cheeses were carefully selected to complement everything. I loved that it also came with a side of thick cut bread and pickled vegetables. One of the best charcuterie boards I've had at a restaurant for sure. Not cheap but worth the pretty penny on a slightly fancy night out.

For the owner, I can't say the same He has asked me "so, how can we can we improve at Betty Lou's". No matter what you say, it doesn't really matter. The owner seems to weaponize feedback, which is completely toxic. Sure, you're the owner, absolute respect to you for making this fair in this industry, it's accomplishment. However、please do not ask serving or bartending staff if you don't want genuine feedback. The owner will act against you. We requested one time that Blaine (the owner) does not come on floor if he's had more than two drinks and if he's not dressed in proper uniform. As an owner, sure, to some extent that's fine. But when you threaten a server, who is still new, you will fire them based off how long you're doing menu tours is not acceptable. If you didn't know, menu tours are just running through the drinks and food, which can take a considerable amount of time when you are busy. Now imagine the owner is so disconnected from the reality of the service, is also five drinks deep in the office. The owner will award you back off a few good days, but if you have one review where a customer believes you didn't believe you delivered "a personable experience" you're done. Now, that seems rough, but imagine an owner who values complete bullshit over actual truth. But I mean hey, would I work an environment where the owner can flip a switch, absolutely.
