Love Teacher Vita! My daughter and I are attending the summer session, and we are loving it so far. (At least, I think, my daughter is loving it as she hasn't cried or threw a fit yet!) I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but Teacher Vita leads each session through different songs accompanied by different instruments and dance moves. She also provides a music book, CD, and there's a mobile app to listen to the songs at home. Teacher Vita is really patient, fun, and informative! I'm really happy to have signed up for this class as my main goal was to get my daughter surrounded by kids her age. My grandson and I have attended Music Together for many sessions. My grandson thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to our class each week. My husband has seen the joy we get from music class that he started attending with us. It has been so gratifying to watch our grandson as he has learned and grown throughout these sessions. Teacher Vita is a delight. She is effusive and makes each child feel as though they are the best. I appreciate how she teaches not just the children, but also us adults without the children, knowing they are being taught! We decided to try this class out since our daughter (almost 1 year at the time) seemed to like music and we wanted her to be exposed to Mandarin too. I was willing to try it out since the first 2 or 3 weeks are free trial. After the first class, our daughter loved it so we decided to sign her up for the Music Together in Mandarin class! We have enrolled her in the Kids Go Mandarin for this coming semester. I put my kid in Early Start Music when he was 2.5 years. We attended the free demo class and my kid looked interested, so I registered him. For the first 2 weeks, my kid was a bit confused and was just wandering around during the class. Overtime, he is more engaged with the lesson and interacts more during the class (with occasion running around since kids are just kids...). Teacher Vita and teacher Ping were wonderful! They are attentive, patient, and very interactive during the class. The CD that we get from each session is very useful to get familiar with the songs during the class. Whenever my son hears the song from the CD, he starts singing the whole song by himself. This is a great class to introduce music to the little ones! read more

Highly recommended! We are so glad that we have taken early start music class for one section and I can tell the marvelous difference of my daughter. She is about to turn 2 at the end of this year. We first heard about Music Together while we were living in Peninsula. Thought about it but never got serious. Then we moved to Fremont earlier this year and during the preschool fair, we received information about Teacher Vita's demo class. It's free, why not? I thought. There are three classes: Music Together (all English), Go Mandarin (all Chinese), and MT with Mandarin. I want my son to have Mandarin exposure, while my husband only understands English, we chose MT with Mandarin. The class is an instant hit with all of us! I was pleasantly surprised how my husband and I enjoyed the session as well! Teacher Vita's class is very well designed into short sessions to prevent the kids from getting bored. It's also incorporated movements, dance along with the music, so this is not your typical sit/stand then sing along class. Teacher Vita was loving, fun and very very nice and gentle, and that made a huge difference for our son. He was giving high fives and more than willing to help her put away the musical instruments during the first session, I was shocked! The class itself is a bit pricier than other toddler classes, but both my husband and I agreed that it's well worth it. We have finished two semesters of MT with Mandarin now. Our son is getting a bit disengaged during the last few sessions, I switched to the Go Mandarin class and he's back at it again! Just signed up for Winter 2018 semester. This is a great, great, great music program for kids 0-5. The teachers Cristal & Audrey have so much energy and enthusiasm, kids love them. My 2 year old will ask, when is my music class, I want to go to my music class! :) I have not been to any other Music together class but do know that I love this one. If you enroll your baby/toddler in just one class, it should be this one. It can be a great bonding time for both of you. And music enhances learning in children like nothing else. I take my 2 yrs old daughter to the Newark location on Friday morning. She not only learn the music here, but also learn how to deal with the music instrument. Teacher Vita always bring some fancy music instrument to introduce. My daughter and her classmates are really like this class. They feel happy and freedom during the class. We just completed our full circle of Music Together this spring. During these 3 years, we have learned different way to play with those familiar folk songs. I was students with Teacher Vita for her amazing Music Together class. She was so fun and vibrant that my son loves her class so much. We even hired her to do music/movement activities at my son's two years old birthday party. She brought in tons of instruments and props for each child to use while she leads the fun music activities. We dance, hop, spin and made a lot of good noise. You know how much fun kids can have when they get the chance to play with instruments. It was so worthy and our party was truly enjoyed by parents and kids. read more

My 3-year-old daughter could not get enough of this class!!! She looks forward to it every week & have memorized all the songs in the CD they provided. My son really likes teacher Vita's class. He may not always cooperate during the class but teacher Vita always guides him with fun move, sound and music. He now imitates Vita's class at home and even tries to sing the hello song when he sees a kids' keyboard or ukulele! The class also helps my son learning mandarin words. This is our first session w/ Early start music. We are at the new location by Newpark mall, not at the Papazzian way location. My 19 month old and I really enjoy the CDs and songs at home, in the car, and during class. He delights in singing/humming/drumming/dancing along to the familiar songs. Through these classes he is able to be with others in his age range, see and use different musical instruments, and enjoy music and movement. The time always goes by quickly because there are many different songs and activities as well as a variety of props. He looks forward to it every week. If I sign up again and continued with Teacher Vita, I would likely select the Music with Mandarin class. If I went with a different teacher, I would likely keep the English only option. I wish the music selection itself were more culturally diverse, to at least reflect the cultures in our community, if not broader. Although, as I mentioned earlier, this is only our first session (flute). Hopefully music in the other sessions will represent a wider range of cultures. The Newpark location is shared with another movement/dance/exercise business and the floors and mirrors could be cleaner. I have spoken with teacher Vita about this issue. She told me that she personally cleans it up a bit before class and that it is the best she can do with the time she has. I would recommend she complain to the owner of the space to have it cleaned more often because toddlers are sometimes running around on dusty and hairy floors. A cleaner space would be much more professional and desirable. read more

As a beginner, I did a lot of research on the Internet and Krystal (sorry if I misspelled her name) was extremely helpful by providing feedback and some tips. We just moved out of the area, so I'm catching up on all of my Bay Area reviews :). Early Start Music was a weekend staple of ours for about 3 years. We started when my daughter was 21/22 months old back in the winter/spring of 2016 (our newborn son joined us in the fall of 2017). For all semesters except for the first, we had Teacher Vanessa as our class instructor. Vanessa was phenomenal. She loves working with kids of all ages and personalities, and keeps class fun and different, with a lot of variety for each session. She also makes an effort to make this class an environment where parents can connect with each other. We did a camping trip last year with several different families from the classes, and it was a lot of fun (my daughter loved it). I would highly recommend signing up for the classes -- and don't be worried if the kids don't seem to participate all that much in class (or not at all). My daughter eventually would get into it (sometimes), but at home, she pretended to be Teacher Vanessa--leading us in music class, play her Frozen-themed ukulele, and singing all of the songs we would learn that week. We're going to miss Vanessa and the rest of the Music Together fam! read more

My son was in music for almost two years at the other location and loved it. The only reason we stopped coming was because I had a baby. When the time was right for my daughter (baby #2) to join, of course I chose Early Start Music again. Regardless of the location, it is the same great program. My son is now 4, and his knack for music is incredible. He always is on beat, loves instruments, and can pick up music tones like no other. He always has a "natural grove" and some of his favorite toys are musical instruments. His favorite thing to do is to run our family into a bad. It's so bad that he was mad at Santa, because he didn't get a tuba like he begged for; lol! The teacher and staff are all so kind and attentive. They make it a very personal experience. Which is so nice. Vita answered all my questions and Teacher Vanessa makes you feel so comfortable. My daughter, who is 1, is now catching the music bug and enjoys the classes. She rocks out to her own little beat, and it's so fun to watch her grow musically. We also get these great little cd's and song books that my kids love to color, read and interact with at home. My daughter Jamie loves teacher Vita's class. She started Early Start Music when she was 18 months old. It has been a year now and this class is definitely one of her favorites. She enjoyed singing the songs and listening to music and playing the instruments. Vita has been doing a great job to keep the kids interested and grow their instinct in music. These classes are so much fun!!! Our 10 month old son LOVES them and so do we. The teachers are great, the environment is clean, and it's a fun activity to do. There are plenty of times classes are offered so scheduling hasn't been a challenge and you can make up classes to allow for flexibility. I have two children (1 1/2 and 3) who both love the Early Start Music, Music Together program. It is one of the few programs where I can bring both kids at the same time and can participate with them together as a family. It has been great to watch the kids learning early music theory as they sing and play along. The material provided is awesome and very usefull at home and in the car. The program is structured for learning, yet gives freedom for each child to explore the music and activites in their own way. I am amazed at how often both of my kids will break into a certain song or dance at home, demonstrating that they were listening and learning durring the class. They use instruments, dance, songs and other tactile play during the sessions. The songs are fun and catchy. A refreshing change from the typical (but still great) nursery rhymes we sing to our children. I've been bringing my kids to Music Together (Early Start Music) for a while now, First in Santa Rosa, Ca and now in Fremont, Ca. I love that, even though there are different directors, you know what to expect from one city to the next because of the cohesive curriculum used throughout. Their teacher is Cristal. She is great and comes highly recommended. The kids love her contagious smile and enjoy seeing her each week. As you participate, she'll often explain the musical theory that is being practiced or watch out for how each child is learning and point it out. As is obvious, I really enjoy the program and highly recommend it! read more

We have been taking our children to Early Start Music in Fremont for over a year. Our children LOVE this music class! Early Start Music uses the Music Together program of music and the music is absolutely wonderful. There is music and dancing and playing instruments. It is something fun we do together as a family. Teacher Vita is so wonderful! She works so hard to make the music classes both fun and educational. She puts a lot of effort into her work and is such a kind person. My kids both enjoy being in teacher Vita's music class (We go to the classes held at Underground fitness II). My older son (2yr8m) has been in her class for more than a year and my younger son has been gong since 1 month old (better yet, he's free until 8 months old.. gotta start paying for him next month but totally worth it)!! I can see that my kids benefit so much in being in Vita's classes. My older son loves all the music collections and sings the songs throughout the day. Both kids gets super excited about going to class and playing with all the different musical instruments. I love the exposure of all the different styles of music, beats (meter), languages (English, Spanish, Japanese so far) and dance moves they get all in one place. The price is a bit higher than other places but it's definitely worth it. We have taken Music Together for half a year prior to finding teacher Vita and we can tell the difference in quality. Vita is very thoughtful: she gave out Halloween snacks for all the kids (pretzels) and bought infant snacks specifically for my 7 month old at the time. We're really lucky to have found her and I recommend her to every mom I meet. read more

We are super jealous of the new students of our Music Together teacher who is now teaching at this location. My son absolutely loves Music Together, and lights up when we play the CD, or even mention "Teacher Cristal" to him. Cristal has made music come alive for him, and also given us the tools to sign along (and I really do love to sing along!) My husband has declared that the Music Together CD is the only non-annoying kids music that exists, and we listen to it at home, in the car, etc. My son does the movements and hand gestures with the music, too, as she does in class, and it's so wonderful to see. Teacher Cristal is an exceptional teacher and she has a fabulous voice and encouraging style that makes even us tone-deaf, beat-ignorant, but music loving parents enjoy belting it out in a crowd. read more

Love, love, love these classes! This is our second cycle with Teacher Cristal in her Fremont classes - she is very enthusiastic about all of the songs and gets all the kids and adults into the music and dancing. She works to make sure that all the kids are engaged, whether they're hams or spend most of the class time just observing and listening. I'm always impressed by how creative Teacher Cristal is in thinking of new ways to engage with the music - from playing the guitar and ukulele herself, to coming up with new dances, to asking families to contribute verses. I can't see how any kid who attends her class would fail to show more musicality in his/her life ... and my wife and I have noticed the same ourselves! My son has been going to Early Start Music since he was 3 months. At first I was skeptical but I was talked into it by my Mom. My husband and I quickly saw how important these classes are to our son's development. He is now 16 months and is already talking in small sentences, can follow directions etc. I attribute most of this to these music classes. Not to mention, he can tap to the beat, randomly sings the songs and creates musical beats on his own. This kid loves music! These classes have transformed our family into a musical family. The best part, since he has been attending so long, he can quickly be soothes by singing, creating a beat, or basically anything musical. I've taken both of my children to these family music and movement classes for two and half years now, and most recently joined Teacher Vita's Music Together class with Mandarin. Our family was beginning to learn Mandarin around the same time that the class became available, so it was perfect timing. It's a fun way to learn and practice Mandarin. Also, the music was developed by an internationally recognized music program, so it is quite varied, from different genres and different countries, so that makes it very enjoyable to listen to over and over again. Definitely adds an element of fun to car rides when the whole family can sing along and do the accompanying movements that we did in class. It's a very welcoming environment, with siblings, spouses, and grandparents attending. Teacher Vita is very talented. My son LOVES music together! We started it when he was 10 months old, and it was a perfect fit. There was just enough variety in the program to meet the ages of all the children. As he got older, his experience with the program has changed. Now he loves to use the instruments, sing songs and participate in the movements. He has also made some really great buddies, and I have met some fun Mom's. During the week he walks around the house singing and humming tones and songs from the class. His musicality and his interest in music is a direct result of this class. I am very impressed by the variety of music and how diverse the class is. We have been students of this particular Music Together branch for 2 years. Prior to this, we were Music Together students elsewhere for 4 years. As both a teacher and as a mom, I find this curriculum to be among the very best available for kids of almost any age. Our 6, 3, and 1 year olds will all attend this class together and be happily engaged and so happy. Only our shy middle child needs time to "warm up" to the exciting atmosphere of a music class, and she too loves it. The class teaches children a variety of musical skills, from rhythm to tone to using instruments and their voices. The teachers use several techniques to connect with the kids throughout the course, and as the years have gone by, I can truly see how the skills my eldest has gained are truly cumulative. I really do love this program and consider it worth the $$ as it one of the more spend-y kid programs out there. It is a great class to take your kids especially if they are of different ages or if you have 2+ kids you are trying to do a class with at the same time. Their Fremont location offers easy parking and is 2 blocks from a nice playground. We have had Cristal and Audrey, and they are both great. I have been taking Ms. Vita's class with my daughter for 2 semesters and we absolutely love it! The class is fun and educational, my two year old walks around the house singing the songs she learns in class. I highly recommend this program, you will not be disappointed!
