Briel 10/24/15 Positive Update on Colorado Sound Many years later, we were able to go back into the studio here and get a much better product than the first sessions. Colorado Sound took the time to open up their doors so we could finish up the tracks. We were able to record a great Chorus in their A Room, which is a must for any pro musical project. The sound engineer, Jesse, was able to bring in a high-quality level of skill to this sessions. Great production work on the drum beats that filled in the rest of the Halloween song, "Creepin In" He also made changes to the audio I did not ask for, in a negative direction, which I noticed during playback. Also, the owner never checked in with me again so he only fixed the error to get me to change my review. I don't feel good in the end, just moderate.

I reached out last week to see if he could do a family photo shoot for us on…read moreNew Year's Eve because we somehow miraculously had the entire family together for a very short window over the holidays. About 15 of us in total from all across the U.S. I found him via Yelp from Austin, Texas where we live and he responded right away with availability, a reasonable quote, a sensible plan, the specs of the camera he planned to use, and thoughts on how to structure the session. He is super easy to communicate with. Our plan was Chautauqua and we were going to work with the snow if it was already falling as predicted by the forecast. His plan and professionalism far outshone his peers and I felt comfortable booking and sending a fairly large deposit even from afar. Unfortunately, the day before the shoot, my sister in law's house in Sagamore (town of Superior) burned to the ground along with the entire neighborhood. It's such a tragedy but at least no one was hurt and all of their animals made it out okay. It's been very traumatic. I reached out to say we'd have to cancel and Nick was cool about it. I then reached out to say that people wanted to take the photo anyway since we were all together. And Nick was cool about it. And then I reached out again to say people were too rattled to proceed. And Nick was cool about it. And throughout asked if he could be of any service with food, or water, or shelter. Ultimately, he refunded our deposit (in fact, that was his idea and he offered that right away) and the next time we are all together, I will use no one else. His portfolio is super impressive and I cannot wait to see his skills in action on our behalf, hopefully in 2022. In case you needed a reminder, there are good, rad, kind, generous people out there.
