Since they did not take Medicare, I was self pay and they did give me a $3000.00 discount, so I ended up paying $9000.00 up front. I advised them, as did my son that I have muscular dystrophy and wear leg braces on both legs and use a walker and a scooter. He said the walker and braces would not be a problem and that their facility at Holiday Island were handicap accessible. They did have a walk in shower, but the shower chair they had was very low and could not be adjusted. It took them a week to get one that I could use, so needless to say I didn't have a shower for a week. Carmie did purchase some wet wipes so I could at least wash down some. Please understand that I DID NOT have to go through any detox. I had a couple of breakdowns when I was told I COULD NOT going on any outings, without even being given a chance to get in the van. Once I was able to try, we all agreed I would need a step stool. It took a week to get that in. I was able to go on 1 outing while at Holiday Island (I was there approximately 21 days). I was not kept updated on my plan that they seem to be proud about. I kept getting told different stories as to why I could go to the Rogers location. Granted I did contract covid while there and spent about 5 days quarantined in my room as did the others that voluntarily took the test as I did. Once I got to the rogers facility things were better. I had inquired a couple of times what exactly was the $9000 paying for since I was told it was all inclusive. I had to bring my own medicine. Before my 30 days was up, I contacted Justin about getting a breakdown/itemized statement and was told they didn't provide them. The only way you get something even remotely close is when you receive your EOB from your insurance company. I didn't file with Medicare because they are not an approved facility, so I get nothing showing what the money went towards. I called several times after I was discharged asking and was told point blank by Justin that "I am not going to do a daily breakdown for you!" Thai went on for about a month and when I spoke to Jessica, she said she would have someone get back to me, this was in October 2024 (i believe). In January I contacted my credit card company and filed a claim since I had not received or heard anything from them. I only received a receipt showing what I paid after I was discharged. I spoke to my cc company and they had reached out to True Self and they stated if I contacted them, they would be willing to work with me. I did that and was told under no circumstances would I be refunded or receive itemized statement or breakdown for what my $9000 paid for. Justin was very rude and would not let me speak, he even went on to say I was defiant the entire time I was there, because of the 2 breakdowns I had and that I didn't even want to go into recovery. He also told me I didn't participate in things/activities, which I did when I was physically able to. To tell someone 7 months out of recovery that they didn't want to be there and had probably already slipped back into drinking was and is totally uncalled for. I am currently as of this review 212 days sober. If you are self pay, be Leary and if you have insurance, from what o was told by others in the program, they will advise you to "drink" before you come in so your insurance will pay for detox. All I wanted was just a breakdown of what my $9000 went towards. The staff at both facilities were great except for 2

literally one of the worst experiences of my life. I ran from the place in the middle of the night…read more counseling was subpar at best. you have to beg and come up with excuses to speak to your family. if by some miracle you get to call and they don't answer you are not allowed to call them back later. you are required to attend "family day" where your family is not allowed to attend. I wear partials and after begging for DAYS for products to clean them a nurse purchased my needs from her own money and now I have a cyst on my gums from not being able to care for my teeth. when I ran I had no way to take my belongings with me and my deceased daughters belongings were stolen, my makeup was stolen, snacks that my husband sent including some from Hawaii were stolen from me, he had accidentally left my AirPods in my bag and they were stolen. I absolutely do not recommend this place
