The flower and THC edibles I bought were great. But, I bought a Palm vape battery. He's what happened. Bought it March 22 Battery failed ~April 1 Contacted store via email to inquire whether they warranty them or do I have to go to manufacturer. In the meantime I go to manufacturer site. Chinese company, so I start wondering whether I will get a response. Store replied and told me they don't sell the that battery. In a reply I send a receipt that shows I did. The reply is "we must have sold those and not stock them anymore." and "we don't warranty them" Wouldn't someone in the store know they were in stock 3 weeks ago and not tell me I was wrong about who sold it to me? Next, they ask me what my question was. In my initial email I asked if I need to go through the manufacturer's warranty directly. I thought it was clearly stated. So, all in all, a simple question I asked about who warranties this turns into "we don't sell them" implying wrong store (which it wasn't) and then basically saying "sorry, work with people in China". It was a piece of junk. A simple "sorry we sold you a crap product, perhaps we can make it up to you" would have closed this issue nicely. I understand perfectly that the warranty is through the manufacturer, but I was given sort of brush off at first, then a pretty meh level of trying to help the customer. Eventually in the last thread - "come into the store and we can work something out" themed email. Took my initial intent from posting 5 stars because the product was great and the person in the store when I purchased was awesome and makes me not return.

The young gentleman working at the counter needs some humility and some life experience. Hopefully today he learned that when you go out of your way to mischaracterize what another person says, there are consequences, especially when laced with unearned self-righteous indignation and coupled with a refusal to serve the customer. The interaction came across as dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. Businesses thrive or fail because of their people. Judging from many of the other reviews here, I am by no means alone in experiencing very poor customer service. I reached out to the owner with my concerns using the name and number provided to me at the store but I never heard back from that person. The person in charge of the company's yelp did reply to me below which I appreciate but there's no reason for further communication, better to lay this to rest. Especially when there are enough options in southern Maine to go elsewhere. Try GREEN TRUCK in Kittery, INDICO or MARCS ORGANIX also in Kittery. Other spots too - up in Ogunquit or down in Eliott. I know for a fact there ARE indeed several nice folks who work at theory wellness- but for me, there's enough other options so I don't have to take the chance. I'd rather go someplace where I feel more comfortable because the staff are more welcoming. At theory, I felt like I walked into someone's bad day and they just happened to be a bud tender. No thanks.

They have a very good selection of all kinds of vitamins, herbal/nutritional supplements and natural/holistic remedies, including a lot of vegetarian/vegan formulas. Also, a nice selection of natural soaps, deodorants and bath/hygiene products. They also signed me up for their rewards club and I received a coupon for next time. The gentleman who checked me out (possibly owner?) was nice and let me know about a $3 off manufacturer coupon that was taken off my purchase. Very nice store and will definitely be my go-to in Portsmouth for all things natural!
