This was a great day out. Our kids love wombats so we have visited a few wildlife reserves. This is easily one of the best in Tassie. The staff were great; the guides were informative and obviously committed to the animals and all the staff were friendly. We were there for the devil and quoll feedings - and had time with the wombats of course! The park adjoins a lagoon and wetlands and is much bigger than you'd expect. The features included a large walk-through aviary and an historic walk to the remains of Bicheno's early coal mine. We stayed for lunch at the cafe and were glad we did - simple but fresh and well made. This park was one of the highlights of our stay in Bicheno. read more
