You don't go far into the mine. You do get hard hats with lights on them. The only tough part is walking up hill but they stop frequently enough. I'm not in great shape but it was a very doable walk uphill. A lot of kids and older people on the trail and nobody had issues. I'm not sure why they require special shoes but it's required.

It is a quaint performing arts venue showcasing professional live theatre, including popular musicals. This year Rosebud Theatre is celebrating their 35th anniversary! They play of Driving Miss. Daisy was a great choice and very well done! A Warm-hearted Comedy of an Unlikely Friendship Daisy, a cantankerous old widow of wealth, is reluctant to accept help from anyone, especially the new chauffeur hired by her son. Her treatment of her new driver is aloof and dismissive. But Hoke is patient, and incident by incident, prejudices and stereotypes are revealed and shattered. Over the course of 25 years, the most unlikely of friendships changes both of their minds and their hearts. This play runs from April 6th to May 19th! Highly recommend :)

It's run by a British lady who's very soft-spoken and friendly; she seems a little eccentric, but in a good way ;) It's relatively small, but has a pretty good selection of stuff in it. There's a variety of things for all kinds of fossil & rock collectors - though I would say the stuff they sell tends to be heavier on the fossil selection and a bit lighter on the rock end of things. On the lower end of the price range, you have small pieces of rock samples, toys for kids, little polished fossils & the like. Mid-range stuff includes jewelry (I recently bought a pendant made from a Megalodon tooth) and smaller fossils, like ammonites. On the more expensive end, you have things like really fancy ammonites and bits of fossilized dino bone in nice display stands - my husband bought part of a triceratops frill there, and they recently had a lovely fossilized crab on a stand, and I fell in love with this coffee table that had fish fossils in the tabletop. On the very pricey end of things, you have some crazy cool stuff, like the better part of an entire triceratops skull, or a really well-preserved full psittacosaurus skeleton in situ. You can probably tell I'm a bit of a nerd about this stuff :P Which is why you can tell it's a good place to check out - if a fossil-loving lady and her even bigger fossil-nerd husband like this place, you're likely to find something good there yourself :)

Saw the most recent production! It was wonderful. The…read morewhole thing was outdoors, so I was glad they told me to bring stuff for different kinds of weather. Yay sunscreen. (Tip: Umbrellas are not allowed so I brought a fold-up poncho) I was sitting in Section G and it felt really central. Many of the actors came out to greet the audience after the show was done. We went to the concession at the intermission and they sold things like hotdogs and such - they were good hotdogs. I didn't bring water and wish we did. I want us to go again next year.

School Of Yesterdays! We love this museum so much! There is…read moreso much history within the walls of this old school, and so many memories as well. We were fortunate a few years ago (during one of our trips) to meet one of the original classmates who happened to be touring as well. He was a lovely man and I wish I could remember his name as we got a picture of him but forgot to write his name down. I think he was with his daughter or granddaughter, but he was so sweet and it was so magical to see the school through his eyes. I can't help but think of him every time we visit. This really is a special place if you love to take a walk back in time.

I found and purchased some of Caracol Clay's raku pottery creations - rock rattles - during a…read morerecent stay in Victoria, BC. Their beauty first caught my eye, but when I asked where they were crafted, and found out it was by artists in East Coulee, Alberta, there was no way I could pass on a purchase - the latter was a stones throw away from my lady's birthplace and childhood in Drumheller (and let's just say, a good many moons ago!!). There was little hesitation on my part, one definitely had to go home with her (and as I love rock rattles, one had to go home with me as well). As I had not actually visited their studio, there was some hesitation on my part to post this here as a review .. but wanted them to get more recognition of their lovely work than just a passing comment made on a purchase made elseshwere.

It's a very cute & affordable museum…read morewith lots of artifacts from the area that give you a feel for life as it was in the area long ago. They have lots of cool things like a 2-headed calf, old surgical tools, an iron lung, really fancy cool pianos, an old barbershop setup, and old tractors & cars & the like... really, there was way more stuff in there than that, and way more than I expected there to be in this museum. I had a very enjoyable time there :)
