After years of telling me to have more pictures in my web site, I gathered up several . Getting…read morethem on the site was an extreme hassle . No help from the Press. (MONTHS) . The ridicules thing , they will not give me my password to do it myself. Mysteriously my original password no longer works. We have won several of their yearly awards only to be told last year, if I don't advertise , we will not get the award advertising placard / decal for the shop or the award posted in the web site.

I selected a program that ran a little over $3000, including printing, editing (which I had to do,…read morebecause they were too busy), artworrk for cover, website, introducing it at the LA Festival of Books, an agent and a publicist. The book finally got ready for printing, but I was not allowed to talk to anyone actually working on the book. There was confusion re: what I actually wanted on the cover, though I sent explicit information to the publisher, who apparently never got it to the illustrator, because he had me send it three times. The Festival is three weeks away and Greenberry Publishing Co. is suddenly not answering phones, extensions are no longer in service, etc. After finally getting to talk to the production manager and hearing his excuses, I told him that I had determined that you had to be inept to get a job there. I have not heard from them since. Any body else left holding the bag with Greenberry? Shall we do something through legal means?

The most recent edition of 110 magazine's cover is in very poor test. The cover is show casing an…read morearticle within the magazine called "Job Whore" The article is about a women that goes from one bad job to another. The word "whore" typically refers to a women who trades sex for money or other commodities. The caption on the cover indicates that one is trading sex for a job. This magazine sets out in public view in many businesses where any one can read, including children of all ages. I am not a prude but I believe our publications should show some restraints in what they put on the covers of their editions in order to get readers to pick up their magazine. This edition places 110 in the same category of the magazines we find in grocery store check out lanes. Not very professional. How about raising the bar instead of stooping to the level of "rags"
