having grown up in the dc area, and visiting my parents 1-3x annually, i'd never visited or even…read moreheard of this place until my last visit home, 2 months ago! mom used to volunteer nearby so she knew about this village, primarily for retired citizens, with a beautiful lake, tennis courts and several walking trails. the day after i ran 26.2 miles, we came here en route to the airport and it was the perfect place to get in some easy, gentle walking. in late october, the fall foliage was really peaking and i loved seeing the beautiful, rustic colours of autumn. multitudes of rust, gold, pumpkin, and chestnut coloured leaves covered the grass and walking paths, making for the most picturesque walk. i couldn't help myself from taking multiple photos and videos! i'd recommend coming here in the warmer months, perhaps with a standup paddleboard, kayak or canoe and enjoying the lake, and grabbing a beverage at one of the cafes after. very peaceful and a great hidden gem in the dmv.

To name a few: 5 tara, Bean Bar, Bon Chon, Bowlero, Atomic Trampoline Fun Center, Luv2Play, BurgerFi, ChefScape, Flame Kabob, Firebirds, eggspectation, Noku, Plaza Azteca, noodles & company, Fractured Prune Doughnuts, The Conche, Vino Bistro, Travinia Italian Kitchen, etc. There are new stores popping up as well, check out their website for updates. I love that they have a Wegmans here as well. Cobb Village 12 Cinemas is also located inside the Village. This is a great place to meet up with friends or to have a date night.

Parking situation, there are some spaces available between the stores on the street however there are a few garages where parking is plentiful. However figuring out the best way in or out I have yet to master when coming here. Stores there are a lot of shops here which gives this place an advantage over One Loudoun. One bit of fair warning we went on a rather hot and humid day and unfortunately when walking around there wasn't a lot of shade to walk into give you a bit of a break from the heat. There were some restaurants here but not as many as One Loudoun so they lose out in the advantage here. Overall I'd come back mostly to explore the shops more, with two teenagers in tow who aren't super into shopping I didn't want to belabor things. The one downside is that the shops are on a long corridor, so if you want to come to one particular place then trying to figure out where to strategically park to get in and out quickly could be an issue. Overall I was glad we decided to come here and I got the chance to check this place out a bit more.

I also regularly visit Deja Brew, a really great coffee/espresso shop and Tony's NY Pizza for really delicious pizza! Other businesses I frequent occasionally include the Lion & Bull Restaurant, the VA ABC Store, and The UPS Store.

I don't understand how this Plaza passed as being ADA approved. There are NO reserved handicapped parking with the blue signs anywhere around the building. It is a square building with retail on three side. Byblos is on the front corner of the building. There was only one ramp at the far end of the side of the building. So there was a parking spot in the 4th space from the end where the ramp is located. I had to walk the 4 parking spots to get up the ramp enabling me to walk on the sidewalk and then walk the distance of the building to reach that restaurant. What is amazing is that all the retail on that side of the building were Physical Therapy type. If I could step up on the curb it was a grassy slope. Very unsafe for .many Why is there not a ramp on all three sides of the building? I would highly recommend Byblos Restaurant for a most enjoyable meal on ever aspect, service, flavor, price, cleanliness but the situation in the parking lot was anxiety producing because the county employees did NOT do their job properly. I have run into many staff that have been here for over a decade and more, and they are always so friendly and warm. 3. The CVS can be a little crummy but it's always been reliable for photo printing, pharmacy, etc. 5. Extraneous: Music & Arts store, a cleaner's, nail salon, etc. Located across the library, I have always seen students in the area study before walking across the street for errands or a bite. It's also always very clean and tidy in the lot and by the stores.

There is a huge PUBLIC SAFETY issue in the parking lot in the front of the Giant food store…read more Inconsiderate people park there as they wait for their passengers to come out of the store. They park in front where the loading zone is, where customers cross the lot to their cars and in the bus route. I watch this daily as I frequent the Village Center often. The Giant attendants ask the offenders to move on and sometimes they are successful. There is even a sign detailing that this is not a parking zone. Here are a few suggestions: 1. The attendants need to buzz Giant management ASAP when this happens to prevent the public safety issue, 2. The owner of the village center could paint the area with bold lines indicating a cross walk and loading zone, 3. Prevent customers from crossing in front of cars opening up a designated cross areas on either side of the loading zone. 4. Post a sign with consequences - like a FINE for violation due to public safety concerns. This is a SERIOUS issue. Anyone else concerned about this?? And yes, I have to admit that Whole Foods is a benefit as well ... their hot foods and salad bar for breakfast and lunch are very convenient for grabbing something quickly and taking it back to the office. If I need some of the basics, there's CVS. If I need something shipped, there's the UPS Store. Office supplies? There's Staples. Pretty much anything that I need in a pinch at work, I can find there.
