The amount of teacher and staff turnover last year made it difficult for students to have consistency and build relationships with the adults who were supporting them. The 6th grade alone had 3 teachers leave the first semester and the assistant principal left by January. I would really consider other Charter schools around the East mesa until Ms Simms is replaced. I was very disturbed when my daughter came home distressed because she went to use the bathroom and…read morethere was a boy in the restroom with 2 other girls. When I called to report this incident the Dean of Students told me the students are allowed to use whatever bathroom they want according to whatever gender they choose to be that day. I am very concerned about safety and privacy of every student. No student should feel uncomfortable using the bathroom. I asked her why didn't they notify the parents of this policy she gave me no answer. If you have a student at this school please aware that this is what's going on and it would be in your best interest to call to inquire about this policy.

This school has been a very positive feature of my 2 grandsons. They started in first grade and now…read morethe oldest is graduating this year with straight A's and a full scholarship to college. Counselors worked with him and encouraged and guided him all the way. The younger is in 10th grade and every year so far has been a positive experience for him as well. One is a scholar the other not so much, but both of them have benefited from their experiences at imagine and now prep. I went to the high school orientation and was very impressed with their goals and plans for the students. Just can't say enough about positive results they have gotten and continue to get with two very different children. I love the small classes and attention children receive both scholastic and emotionally. Leadership is encouraged but the average child is also encouraged to be the best they can be socially and scholastically.

If you're not insanely intelligent might as well just give up because that's all you're good for at this school.
